Another Renault Fix - Improving Shadow Quality

One of my particular "pet" annoyances with XPlane out of the box, is the poor quality of shadows, both interior and exterior.

While it doesn't impact the visual appearance of Orbx scenery (unless one has draw shadows on scenery turned on), it does impact my enjoyment overall. What I would really like is this: nice clean shadows with realistic shading &  with minimal performance impact that will work with a wide range of gpu capability.

I have posted a note in the XPlane 11 , "Tips and Techniques" section on what I did to improve things a bit.

I hope that you find it useful and of interest.

Cheers

When lighting changes, shadow quality should be subtle when appropriate

You have an excellent eye sir, those shadows are so much better, you should be able to see into shadows when closer to you, our eye opens up and takes in more light, shadows should only look darker in the distance.

Thank you for this great fix.
