Aimee Sanjari
Hello everyone, EGML Damyns Hall Aerodrome is coming soon to X-Plane! Damyns Hall Aerodrome is a small but feature rich airfield which features realistic vegetation, delivering the most realistic rural environment possible. Located 2 nautical miles south of Upminster in the London Borough of Havering, England, this airfield boats around 100 acres of grassland! The ground poly is hand textured to 2 cm per pixel which means you can see the real-life ditches and gullies that intersect the taxiways - the detail is astounding! Key Features: Plant and weed species specially photographed, digitized and particle dispersed to create an incredible realistic coverage of native vegetation Realistic grass system Finely detailed terrain including depictions of ditches and gullies along the taxiways 2 cm hand crafted ground textures High definition building textures created from onsite photography of the actual buildings Fully integrated into TrueEarth GB South EGML will soon be available from OrbxDirect for AUD $24.95 (approx. USD $17.78 / €15.59 / £13.97). Remember that if you own EGML for FSX/P3D, you get 40% off the X-Plane version! Please note that you will require Orbx Libraries updated and installed to version 1.55 which is also now available. MacOS/Linux users will have the latest libraries included in the cross-platform download available from the support page. Please also note that for the best experience, we recommend using EGML in conjunction with TrueEarth Great Britain South. The scenery will work without it, however some users may experience the following: Missing or misplaced forests Missing or misplaced buildings surrounding the airport Photoreal blending Here are some screenshots by Emmsie and Jon Murchison - enjoy! And as a bit of nostalgia, here is the original FSX aunch trailer made all those years ago by Russ White .... (Note: the XP11 version does not have snow, seasons, or the ditches in the terrain). bruce e
EGML is my favourite small grass strip in the UK in P3D so you're in for a treat
TigerTigerM
Really interesting shots. I'll have to go back there in P3D v4 & dig around as I hadn't noticed half of the detail. Which comes from starting flights out on the airfield. TTM
Badl4ndz
That's another one I'll have to grab. WOW! They are coming thick and fast
Jon Clarke
@Aimee Sanjari Nice looking airport and greatly detailed. The narrative above the FSX video says that the XP version, besides seasons, doesn't have ditches in the terrain, but your description of the XP version highlights that the 2cm terrain detail portrays the real life ditches and we could end up face down. Question: Are there ditches or not? Thanks

Question: Are there ditches or not? Thanks Hi there. So the ditches are there, but unfortunately are not 3D as they were in the FSX/P3D version due to X-Plane limitations. The 2cm textures are still there though! This was brought to my attention after the announcement and I must have forgotten to change it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention
