edpatino
Hi: Please, someone from ORBX could confirm what exactly it would need to be reinstalled, if any, after an upgrade from P3Dv4.3 to v4.4 of both Client and Content portions?. I have all ORBX's Global products (Global Base pack, Global Vector, Global openLC EU-NA-SA and Global Trees), EU England, 3 European Airports, All NA Regions, 27 NA Airports, AU Australia, and 5 Oceania Airports. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Ed
Nick Cooper
Hello, in that case, nothing.

I don't really understand the posts at AVSIM about reinstalling all that after upgrading the Content, from v4.3 to v4.4. Cheers, Ed
Nick Cooper
As far as I am aware, you can install both the content and the scenery without first uninstalling either. If you do not update the scenery, I believe that Orbx remains unaffected.
Aussie123
From my point of view: I uninstalled the v4.3 Client, Installed v4.4 Client; Uninstalled v4.3 Content, Installed v4.4 Content. The only Orbx product I had to reinstall was HD Trees. AU, NZ, EU was all unaffected.
edpatino
Ok, thanks to all of you for the support. Cheers, Ed
mopperle
The safest way is a completely fresh install of P3D, as sometines things can go wrong. In any case you have to uninstall each component before updating. The process is clearly described on LMs website in this document:https://www.prepar3d.com/Prepar3D_Download_and_Install_Instructions_v4.pdf
nigelgrant
But you will lose the Bonanza and Beechcraft aircraft due to some licencing issues, search the forum at Lockheed Martin for an explanation. If you haven't already updated, you can make back-up copies of these aircraft and reinsert them back after your update. Nigel Vancouver
shermank
About losing the Beech aircraft, if you happen to have them from a previous sim...even FSX, they will transfer easily. Sherm
Aussie123
Yes, Lockheed does repossess your Beechcraft Aircraft during the upgrade. Seems it is a legal requirement that they do remove them from your hanger. (I have heard of people parking a copy of the relevant aircraft (folder) behind the hanger, and wheeling them back into the hanger at a future time.)
