Spent a wonderful year in Victoria BC back in the day, and also got to know Vancouver well. Been back a number of times and still find hem Vic and Van amongst the most pleasant places, except for winter.... It is still a Boeing in fundamentals, and I turn off failures so deep study is not needed. And the Manuals are just about the best set out of them all. And yes PP&M were among my favourites.
