Nick Cooper
Hello, you will need to convince FTX Central that you have a copy of P3D v3, then you will be able to download the aircraft. It still won't work and you will have to attempt the installation manually from the files that will be installed to your P3D v3 folder. If you are asked for other folders, just create empty ones. You will need a folder named P3D v3, inside you will need a copy of Prepar3D.exe and terrain.cfg. Then use the guidance in this topic to create a registry entry for P3D v3. If after all this you require a refund, please submit a support ticket.

higgy_de
P3Dv41 ! only sound is not nice... sounds like a little 2 stroke engine ...but its a 160hp lycoming ... anyone tips for optimizing this ?
Smudger
You could try the Doug Dawson 64 bit sound guage, no guarantee's, but other FSX aircraft imported into P3Dv4 have required it. Do be sure to backup your current one just in case.

Nick Cooper
Hello, really there shouldn't be any support for this in P3D v4 but like you, I enjoy a challenge. I don't think the engine sound has anything to do with the sound dll file. I don't find that it sounds like anything other than an aircraft, though the exterior sound is predominately that of the propeller, as in real life I believe. I do think that the aircraft has a carburettor and will therefore cut out if turned upside down. I do think that the other sounds are controlled by the orbsnd.dll in the gauges folder and that if you replace that with the 64 bit Doug Dawson gauge, renamed to orbsnd.dll, these sounds do work. As far as I can see, the aircraft is otherwise P3D v4 compatible.
higgy_de
Hello Nick ... Yeah, i think that was the goal with this DLL thanks for your help, i enjoy this ! Do you know where i can change from carburator to injection in the configuration files ?
Nick Cooper
Hello, It's in the aircraft.cfg file. [piston_engine] fuel_metering_type= 1 //0=Fuel Injected, 1=Gravity Carburetor, 2=Aerobatic Carburetor You would have the same effect if you choose 0 or 2. I have tried 0 and can now do this indefinitely. and 2 is the same Now I am feeling a little queasy.
