Jon Clarke
I see these odd shapes at the coordinates in the pic around Invercargill airport. I assume they should be a line of trees but that are appearing as blocks. I deleted the Migration file in NZSI and Central 3 instantly re migrated NZSI. Before I uninstall either NZSI or HD Trees I would like someone please to take a look in their sim if they see the same objects. Maybe my NZ friend Adam Banks would take a quick look as he is always flying in NZ Here's is the pic

Tim Harris
Turn your autogen trees slider up a bit, those are the famous New Zealand square cut headrow windbreaks, We had to implement them like this so they follow/hug the terrain correctly Heres an old preview shot from during NZ developement:
Jon Clarke
OK thanks Tim. I normally run Vegetation density at Normal in P3D.as i thought this would be sufficient considering the "density" ranges are higher by default in P3D than FSX. Tim Harris
The autogen tree system in NZ is one of the most efficient of any Orbx products, due to its remote island location we were able to completely eliminate the default autogen system, and also limited the texture load down to only 2 active texturesheets, the same applies to NSTU American Samoa actually So you should be able to really push the autogen in NZ

Jon Clarke
The autogen maybe the best Tim but I don't see a single Rugby post anywhere !!!

VH-KDK
Plenty of wind breaks like this in south west Victoria too. Gotta look after those sheep!

Jon Clarke
Well if losing a game or series in a sport is the criteria for omitting autogen I feel that FTX ENG would be devoid of ALL Rugby, Cricket, Hockey, Football sceneries. We would be left with a Velodrome and a Darts board !
Adam Banks
Tim's the man!!! Just to confirm: here's what I see at the same spot: All this attention to detail is what makes NZNI/NZSI so special, IMHO. Adam.
Jon Clarke
Yes I agree. I now have the quote "famous" (exactly where are these famous?) hedgerows in all their magnificence.
Adam Banks
It doesn't take much to become famous in Invercargill ! Adam.
