The radio button error is telling you that there is no registry entry

for the simulator that you are trying to install into, in your case,

FSX.

The TweakFS FSX Registry Utility will write the correct

registry entry in.

In this case, FSX SE is installed into G:\FSX Steam\steamapps\common\FSX,

yours may not be the same but the target needs to finish with \FSX.

Set the boxes as I have highlighted in red and click on Set FSX Path.

Once you have done this, the installers will find the location you entered.

You need also to check that FSX SE is not running in coexistence mode.

To do this, visit

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft

C:\Users\Your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft

C:\Users\Your name\AppData\Local\Microsoft

and check that there are no folders named FSX-SE.

No problem.

Use the SetPath function to change the registry entries so that

they point to your FSX Steam  installation.

This picture shows you how to do it, you need only make sure that the

path to the FSX Steam folder is correct.

You do this by clicking on the file icon at the right of the

Select FSX Root folder box and navigating to where your FSX folder is.

Yes it should, like this

Regedit-4.jpg

However, that is not connected to the radio button message.

Please open the Tweak FS FSX Registry Utility and double check, using the GetPath
function that both registry entries point to where you have FSX Steam installed.

If you like, post a screenshot of each.

You can take a screen shot by pressing the PrtScn (Print Screen) key and then open
Paint.
Select Edit\paste and you will see an image of what is on the screen.

From there, use this topic to guide you towards posting the shot here

Sorry for the bump but I have an identical issue to this with the Lancair IV-P. I have multiple other Orbx products installed without issue (Global Base/Vector/OpenLC NA). It is only the Lancair IV-P that I have trouble with.

I have P3D 3. Do not have FSX, FSX:SE, or anything else ever installed on this machine.
