Heinrich
Newly bought and installed (of course.. ) Global OpenLC North America, and flying in the high north of Canada, I noticed a lot of misplaced, even missing ground tiles!! Some tiles even changed into different textures when flying nearby..... Screenshots taken within P3D2, but I will check the same area around Bray Island (Nunuvut ,Canada) within FSX. Ed Correia
I'd also suggest ensuring that you have FTX Central set to Global or Global/Hybrid. Also, please tell us the modified dates of your lclookup files located in the ORBX\Scripts\cutom.gb, gb_hybrid & na folders.
Voyager
If possible, so that we can also check the issue, it is good to provide the coordinates. Thank you. Voyager
Heinrich
Thanks Nick for that tip, will look at that later. Ed, FTX Central is set to Global, after installing the OpenLC NA (done automatically during install ). I checked the lclookup bgl files, and all three are set at 24-07-2015..... that shouldn't be right? Hank
Ed Correia
Hi Hank, yes those dates are correct. Could you then please check that the lcookup located in the scenery\BASE\Scenery is the same when Global is set. Also, ensure that the new openLC scenery library (ORBX!OPENLC_NAMERICA2)entry is also active
Heinrich
Thanks Ed, OpenLC_America2 is active, though located underneath OpenLC _America1. I checked the lclookup bgl within scenery/BASE/scenery but that one is dated 29-11-2014 !! So that is wrong....... Hank
Ed Correia
Ok, that might be the issue. With FTX Central, cycle between Global and NA, make sure you click Apply Group in between. That should sync the newer file into the FSX folder. Once that newer file is in place, check the area again.
Heinrich
Yep that did the trick Ed, thanks !! Synced FTX Central and the squares are gone. For possible updates, if you take a look at the last screenshot on my post above, there's a piece having a straight landclass fitted. Here a closer look : Cheers, Hank
FireRx
Thanks Ed, I was having the same issue in Winnipeg too. that Fixed it. Good bet others will see the same. Nice job of the frame rates guys in the metro areas.
ricka47
I'm getting this as well. Does NAMERICA2 need to be above NAMERICA1 then?
FireRx
I just switch to North america, applied, then back to Global /hybrid mode and applied in FTX Central. and that fixed it.
Heinrich
I'm getting this as well. Does NAMERICA2 need to be above NAMERICA1 then? I have it underneath NAMERICA1 Ricka47 Cheers
ruilaureano
Came here because I was having the same issue (ground textures were alternating with older versions, changing, flashing, disappearing - very psychedelic). The above suggestion of cycling between NA and global fixed it. Thanks.
ricka47
I don't have the option to choose NA on the left of side. The only option that I have (and it is active) is FTX Global. According the manual, I should see the openLC Europe and openLC NA below FTX Global?
Voyager
Hi ricka47, You need to adjust the "Insertion Point", see how: P3D FSX Cheers, Voyager
ricka47
Thanks Voyager. FTX was at the very top and now (see below), I moved it down to where it is now - is this correct?
Voyager
Sorry, no mate, see my post just above. The adjustment I posted is in line with the Orbx's orientation. In my case it works very well. Cheers, Voyager
ricka47
OK - back to the drawing board - thanks!
jlsaghaa
Have the same problem but each time i use FTX central i loose 4 entry library of Vector (obj, apt, cvx, exx ) ......
Ed Correia
Yep that did the trick Ed, thanks !! Synced FTX Central and the squares are gone. For possible updates, if you take a look at the last screenshot on my post above, there's a piece having a straight landclass fitted. Here a closer look : Cheers, Hank Hi Hank, glad that its sorted, but can you please post the co-ordinates of that screenshot? The FTX block in your case would contain the Orbxlibs entry and any FTX Airports, so yes the best place for it is above the openLC entries. The only requirement of the openLC ordering is that openLC_BASE is below all the other openLC entries, which is shown in your screenshots.
Heinrich
Sure Ed, it's approx at N68 59.93 / W76 1.27 , approx 115 nm west from CYUX (Hall Beach, Nunavut). Hank
Rob Abernathy
Sure Ed, it's approx at N68 59.93 / W76 1.27 , approx 115 nm west from CYUX (Hall Beach, Nunavut). Hank I'm trying to find that spot Heinrich but can't yet. The coordinates you give put me way south, closest airport is Inukjuak to the SW. The area west of Hall Beach, Nunavut is only 82 miles across east to west. I don't see the straight line anywhere in this region. Can you duplicate it? Heinrich
Maybe this will help you find it Rob. Hank
Ed Correia
Looks like a Vector issue, do you have it installed??
Heinrich
Yes Ed , Vector is installed. I'll see if I've the same issue within FSX, as the above one is within P3D2. Cheers
FLighT
I show the same issue with the straight line of land bisecting the area using FSX in DX9 with FSGlobal Ultimate Americas mesh enabled.
