Rob Abernathy
Here are a few shots from some of the last requests on the opening thread from JV. One from Kelowna is an offshoot of a request for Penticton. All shots are without any weather so you can see the landclass without clouds in the way. RedNorth
Thanks for the shots. Interesting to see CYQT (Thunder Bay), but unfortunately the city has some major problems with it. The southern half of the city appears to have been shunted over to the west, leaving fields and trees along the lakeshore where buildings should be. Similarly, the urban area just north of the small lake at the top (Boulevard Lake) is also badly placed. Any chance of a fix before it's released? John Haley
I wouldn't bother with making changes at Thunder Bay so close to release. I'd have to see the area north of Boulevard Lake a lot closer before I'd say it even needs to be changed at all. Current River certainly is not urban landclass but there are lots of homes and a few businesses up there. I think the overhead shot is a lot better than what's there now, for sure. I'm not trying to be difficult, but IMO - there's no way this has "major problems with it" Thanks for the shots! John

RedNorth
With respect to Thunder Bay, it's definitely an improvement over the default version, no doubt. And the new Canada landclass as a whole is looking really impressive - it's a definite buy. That said, Thunder Bay's a pretty important aviation city - #3 in Ontario. It'd be nice if the city shape could be more recognizable when the LC is released (or corrected in an update after). A comparison with the Google maps satellite view quickly shows where the LC's weaknesses lie. Rob, thanks again for the shots. They really whet the appetite. Mikelab6
Hi, thanks for the shots, but I think Sherbrooke is the wrong location. Sherbrooke (near CYSC) don't have huge water lakes near it. Thanks !
