Hello John,
would it be easier, quicker and less risky to just replace the 1 TB drive with a 2TB drive,
Or if the 2 TB drive is to be an addition, install the drive and then move your existing installation onto it?Hi Nick -thanks for that
if an additional 2tb drive is possible - how does one just slide/move what ? - across - the WP system file ? which contains all
- as copy and paste ?
I have yet to check if I have a spare slot for an additional drive - and was querying what to do if I have - or if not
I'll let you know - later
One assumes that in the case of success - then 2024 can be on the same drive and feed from 2020 ??

Looking to the future - I feel the need to look into this question - as my 1 TB SSD with MSFS is almost full - and my community section is bloated.
I see from FS.to that I have a load of updates for the latter and I really don't know where to start - and seeing all the various problems that new
software from Orbx and others has created - amongst freeware applications recently - maybe a complete cleanout is required?
Also looking forward a few months - we will have a new sim - update - 2024 - is in the offing for next year - and at the moment - my MSFS is on
Games pass - and I want to purchase the new version - (assuming that the 2 further improvement versions will be replaced with new ones gratis)
Which all leads me to my question with the current version - assuming I do a complete reload of the current version - on a new upgraded 2 Tb SSD -
in the case of all purchases from Marketplace for my current installation - will they be automatically replaced in the new install??
Has anyone carried out such a complete reinstall and MS picked up the previous payware from Marketplace?
I know that I will have to newly upload all my payware aps from Orbx etc. and a new cautionary upload of all my reduced freewares😭

When the kids were growing up - we all went to mass on the morning of Christmas Day - and had a huge dinner later -
but these days - just the 2 of us - we still go to mas on Christmas morning and then join in a huge very much increased
family at my no 5 sons house - which is large enough to hold all of us - for Christmas lunch - then they all scatter to do the
same at various in-laws.

Hi John - Thank you for trying to explain the debacle over the last few months with Orbx - and - NZ mesh problems - not
helped by more probs after the Milford Sound and NZA's problems there' As far as I am aware - you are the only Orbx team member
who has taken the trouble to give us customers a reasonable explanation - the Marketing department - included
However - perhaps they could explain - why the Central web site still continues to offer the Mesh for sale.
As far as the British mesh - despite your answers to my original question - for which we are grateful - I think I will keep my
$A12 in my pocket for the time being - at last until any problems that might just be forthcoming from the Asobo SU 14 update😱
PS - On a lighter note - are you any relation to Nick? - your Avatars indicate you could be - even "Son of Nick" - with all your help on this forum
and your photos
Have a piece of Kendal Mint Cake for xmas 👍

Hello John,
the NZ mesh is already withdrawn from sale.It is only on Orbx Central for those who bought it before it was withdrawn.
It is not on the Orbx Direct website and it cannot be bought,
either there, or on Orbx Central. Thanks for the kwik reply Nick - but why does it offer price if not for sale?
I think I understand the Bold second line - in that - if we wish to use it - then it's there for us to use - even though -withdrawal of
the software would indicate - that "it is not good enough for what was intended" - and we would be amiss in trying to use - "What we
paid for - in good faith" - for an Orbx product.
Therefore - if I am correct - this means that even more so - Orbx should compensate it's customers with a full rebate ------ or The British Isles
for Free as compensation - as it is the same price!

I have been getting various notes re this new mesh - by Orbx - has anyone tried it yet - because it looks good - but it comes right after SU 14
However - I am loath to spend a small part of my old age pension on something that might turn out like the NZ Mesh
Speaking of that problem - we still haven't heard whether Orbx has solved the problem yet or not.??
The last word came from Ed Correia - and we won't be hearing anymore from him anymore
I note that the NZ mesh is still for sale on Central - maybe Orbx should cancel that software and give us UK Mesh in exchange
or just give us the UK Mesh

Ah, now if we are having various awards how about Adam for taking us back to when music was real music
Sorry John !! - I couldn't vote for that - although I think Adam is a great bloke - I am from the decade where REAL music
was - BIG BANDS and Original Rock and Roll aka Ted Heath - and Bill Haley
But I heartily agree to the 2 blokes - promoted by Wain - Nick and Iain !! for the biggie👍

Appreciate the 73% discount as a Ver.1 owner, so thanks to the Orbx team for that.
Sadly, third attempt at downloading and installing. Central is very slow tonight and installation keeps hanging.
Anyone else having issues?
Not really - mine came down at 12Mbs - fastest yet from Orbx Central - maybe the advantage of being in Australia
when all else are asleep

I got it straight away for 10 bucks Australian - worth every cent - and as a Lancastrian - at that price - it even makes
Yorkshire look good
A long time since I could compliment Orbx on something - but you done well this time 👍

My wife being English was always a traditionalist, it had to be twelve days before Christmas.
Humbug ! - sorry old mate - tell'er shees rong - one takes them DOWN 12 days after Xmas
In our late 80s - after years of putting them up and taking them down - all we do is place a "Crib" (stable replica) on the sideboard -
just to remind us - "what Christmas is really all about"

I never really thanked my Dad enough for this as Monday till Friday I worked on a milk round getting up at 4 am again and working till 08.30 then in the house quick wash and change of clothes and of to school.
cheers
Iain
Iain - you reminded me of something I missed in my resume above - for 3 years - 12/14 I did something almost identical -- working for an old bloke
who had a veggie stall on Leigh Market.
Late Friday went with him in his truck to the wholesale market in Manchester - came back set up the stall - and worked all day on it - knee
deep in tomatoes and lettuce. On the Thursday before - lit the boiler in his store shed -- boiled and peeled the beetroot and washed the celery
I hate beetroot
All to pay for my first bike - a Hercules 3 speed gears - I rode most Sundays to Southport and Cheshire -- after doing the Sunday papers.

An impressive list and definitely not meaningless, John.
However to be pedantic, (did I mention I used to be a teacher ), according to Roger's original post it's the topic that's meaningless, not the jobs
All the best,
John
Thanks John - 'Sir - for the comment -- I don't think I meant to say meaningless - to the extent that it meant "little" meaning -
the subject that is - I correctly realised quickly - all be it 24 hours later - that it was not meant as I had at first thought as something
meaningless - as a waste of time -- and what it might mean - to others as boasting of one's boring achievements
My engineering maths were far more useful In all my jobs than the correct use of the Queens English - especially the subject of English
Language - as will be pretty obvious from this diatribe.
Even my broad Lancashire Accent - didn't help me over the years - soooh in the words of a Lancashhire comedian -
Ahh'll get me coat !!
PS love Kendal Cake - especially after beating Kendal at Rugby 😆

I started to answer this yesterday but dropped it because I didn't think that anything I had done was Meaningless
- but after reading all of the above from you lot - Maybe I was wrong
Apprentice fitter at 15 - rose in the same company over 18 years to General Manager of a division - joined a rival company
as Managing Director of a large engineering factory - transferred to Australia in 1971 - as MD of an engineering group belonging
to the English parent - Joined another Large English Group as Managing Director of all SE Asia/ Pacific region of a number of
manufacturing companies. Travelled extensively for the next 11 years around the operations
Fed up with working for someone else - at 45 - I resigned - and bought a hardware business on the South Coast of Victoria for 3 years
- sold that - opened a computer shop -sold that - and moved to Queensland - bought into a block of 30 flats in Noosa - and managed that for 3 years -
sold out in 1989 - and retired for the first time at 53
Joined the Queensland Govt. - to set up a small team of small business consultants to 12 local Councils in the Central West of Queensland
and after it was all working well - retired again in 1995 and haven't worked a day since - just playing at piloting airplanes and Oil Paintings -
and I suppose the latter occupation - could be referred to a Meaningless
