I suppose if I was to stock take my Hangars - I would find 90% pay ware inc. default -and a few vintage FW aircraft
but when it comes to using them - I only use pay ware - and only about 25% of what I have bought over the years of MSFS.
When I use P3D or XP11 - which is very rare - I only use pay ware- because that's the reason I would use those sims
i.e. aircraft I can't get in MSFS. but would repurchase them if someone would offer them for sale e.g mainly Piper singles and twins
and an F50 Dassault.

I watched this same video this morning John and was also agreeable with his opinion. Yet to get on the sim and try it but it makes sense to me. I'm typing this in rainbow font, do you see it?
Happy Easter mate.
Cheers
Graeme
Happy LBTQ to you as well - in B+W

I assume that Orbx will announce this sometime but a heads up in that NZA have issued the update all have waited for
Installation is a little extended for old minds like mine - but the results are magnificent as in the scenery it depics

There are many times I miss Renault on here with his tips on picture quality - combining colour with clarity.
As a colourblind person - what I see in colour is probably different to most of you especially with the Ground browns and green
of the scenery as we fly in VFR - but it tends to blur the quality of the textures and makes me play around with all the tweaks available
to us with the PC / Video cards - especially - SHARPENING - tone - B+C etc - to the point of frustration.
Today I came across this bloke - https://youtu.be/_GnbudEoqpM - who I have been following- to try to improve what I see on my screen -
and this is what he came up with today - Eyes or Camera ?? - and I cannot ignore the logic of what he says.
I.E. - The only tweaking one can do with the focus of one's eyes - is to wear glasses - with photography/camera manipulation
- we call it sharpening.

With deference to Rodger's preliminary statement - after I do my usual mis-controlled crash landing -
I usually console myself with --- TGIOS----
When I flew all those years ago - in real life - landing was always my dreaded moment - until I cleared the
dotted report line - that's when my Sphincter Muscles returned to normal.🤞

Which company was that John? I have found huge differences in insurance cost between companies - however that is only for house / car .etc.
Brian
principally NRMA - my usual car etc - but I did a comparison with not a lot of difference.
All though it was in Ossie waters - the cruise was classified as overseas - hence the large premium to cover anywhere in the World

It all depends on your age - and the problems it can cause in getting insurance
late last year the boss lady and I - 88 and 87 went on a 7day cruise which cost our kids $3500
- a cruise that didn't leave Aussie waters - but the insurance quote was $4500
Needless to say - we took the risk since all calling ports were Australian.

some fantastic posts here......me and the wife can't actually remember the date we met, I was riding a motorbike passed her, stopped and went back and had a chat, that was in Sept 1985, now at the actual point we stood talking there is now a speed camera, makes us all smile....
also June 16th 2020, not any important date really, more a lucky one.....had chest pains, wife called an ambulance, walked to it no problem, then in the ambulance I had a Cardia Arrest, 4 minutes of CPR then a shock from the defibrillator and I was back with us, I always now raise a glass of something and think how lucky I was....wish I could have thanked the Paramedics, they do a wonderful job....
Not Important !!! - it should go down as a second birthday - even more so - we were able to keep you amongst us👏
I'll tell this story to my granddaughter - she is a paramedic👍

It has to be Jan 1st 1953 - 71 years ago - because - as I explained in an earlier missive - that was the day I met the missus -
we had our first kiss - it was her 16th birthday - and we celebrate it every year with our bread and coal ceremony on the
first stroke of the New Year
It was also the start of a great year - Gordon Richards won his first Derby race - Stan Mathews won his first FA cup medal and
and Everest was climbed for the first time - Queen Eizabeth was crowned 3 weeks later - and despite Rodger's vows -
I turned 18 - and became eligible to go into a pub for the first time

Not exactly software - but Orbx haven't changed the splash screen for their Central since Adam was a lad
I think the picture of Hawaii came from an early variation of an MS flight sim

I don't have any essentials but whenever I put my hand in my pocket there are always a couple of doggy poo bags. Actually, I suppose they are essential (for the dog, not me)

Thanks, John. I'm actually 81 now and do look back fondly on 80--seems like just yesterday. I do appreciate being granted elite status. That means I'm officially an Old Guy now?

I just wasted my time and internet GBs
in Microsoft Flight Simulator

Recent question on payware / freeware aircraft prompted me to try to clear out of my hangar of a raft of a/cs I never used.
I tried the sim to remove them but couldn't find how to delete - so I just used Explorer and got rid of the junk that way.
When I next loaded MS - I got a mandatory update of 20GB - so I should have known
every aircraft was back in the hangar- after a slow download !!
