Hi everyone, I have lost the manual to Just Flight's MS2020 PA28R Arrow. And for the life of me, I just don't know where to look. I would be very grateful if you could please point me to the right location.

    Cheers

    Roger

Depends where you have the aircraft - but it could be in Community -JF Arrow - documents - it is a PDF file 25 MB

I assume you mean it should look less saturated in terms of green grass, correct?

We've had the same thoughts here when we worked on it but then the airport would stand out like a sore thumb from the surrounding Bing imagery, which is unfortunately very strong and dark.

So yes, fixing it would be an option but it would make the airport stand out from many miles away. I'm not sure if that is what we want?

    Bests,

    Sascha

Just an suggestion Sascha - you probably have been working with up-to-date scenery of the airport - the surrounding Bing scenery is circa 2013 -

and so much has changed in the area since then - take look at the latest Bing satellite  - and compare the 2 to see if that might help in some

    adjustments.

I of course recognize the Connie, DC3,4 & 6. Is that flying boat a Sutherland?  The others I don't know.

    Thanks for sharing this!

    Ken

Thanks Ken - the FB is a Short Sunderland that was flown by Ansett Airways from Sydney Harbour to various destinations in New South Wales

especially to a place on the Northern Rivers called Grafton - landing on the river there

If look at the harbour of Sydney - in the flight planning section of MS you will see a "runway" laid out for the Flying Boats - and that is the pic

    in the video opening

Hello John, there is a sale on at the moment, I expect that is why Singapore has the discount.

Nick - Thank you for taking time to answer - maybe if I ask these questions on Discord - which every one at Orbx seems to read.

I might just get someone else to answer this subject - i.e. someone on the marketing side of Orbx - who are in cahoots with MS.

and get an answer as to why licenses can't be issued for dual use

("Discord" - strange title for a group who are supposed to be in Harmony - whilst the term means something quite the opposite:rolleyes:)

I was only using Singapore Cityscape as an example of the question I was asking - i.e dual usage in PC and /or - X box.

Incidentally - before I commented on the marketplace sale - I actually looked up Orbx Direct Sale - and found very little to excite me for MSFS

that I didn't already have - except that I was offered YMML at a discount - because I already have Melbourne City - and which I refuse to buy

until it is offered in the marketplace - and I can use in both PC and X Box.

Singapore incidentally is not in the Direct Sale.

The marketplace sale - also includes other Examples that have dual use - e.g., - Sydney and Auckland Orbx Cityscapes - further example of the

duality - or singularization - of the softwares - and why do I need to buy them again - if they work on both??

I want to see them in 4K and HDR 10

To quote an old English comedian - a old mate of my dad - I'll get Mi' coat":banghead:

  5. This is nothing to do with my complaints on why we have to pay twice for Orbx software on X Box when we have bought for PC:banghead:

I have accepted that Orbx would have needed to make some alteration to the codes to marry to X Box - and MS control the Marketplace

However - my query this time is  --- for e.g. - I have Orbx Singapore cityscape on PC - and it is now listed - (along with a whole raft of marked down

Orbx software on the marketplace) - on the marketplace as for X Box @ $A10 - is it the same software?

Is this a case of where the PC software is actually different from the X box - or is it the same ??

Since on start up - both PC and X Box sync between the 2 systems - and what I purchase on X box marketplace - is always on PC - and what I purchase

on PC marketplace - is always on X box - which tends to negate the theory of "not the same software" and therefore needs to be paid for.'

It was made quite clear in the recent interviews -  that Orbx have a fuller relationship with MS - since they are shown as developers of Airports for the new

2024 sim - and -I - still maintain that Orbx should look after its customers who buy via Central - and make some arrangement with MS that we are not forking

    out twice for identical software

If the Singapore Cityscape software will do for both consuls - why should I have to buy it again - or is it because of what has been said in an earlier thread -

it is just a coincidence - and that all the Orbx software that will work on X box - is suddenly be marked down by 50%😱

  6. During the details announcement by the Ms team at the recent exhibition - this was stated

"He also announced Cities Update 3: Texas, covering several cities in the state. Last but not least, the team made the exciting announcement of a new Local Legend, the Boeing 307 Stratoliner."

here's a clip to whet the appetite of the oldies -

Just look at those steam gauges😱

  7. 1950's - how some of us remember things as they were before glass screens - and why we grab the old birds offered in the flight sims

     - whether P3D  - XP - or MSFS who is catching up.

How many can you identify in the video

The airport - most shown - is Sydney - or as it was known back then - Mascot

Who remembers the way we used to flight plan - in my case 1970

please do watch the video and be astonished at the level A2A have gone to  - to give us a aircraft that I enjoyed flying around in and in which I carried my family

    some 50years ago

yeah but we are here now, 2020 is wonderful to look at and works, 2024 may need some tweaking when they first release it, also they say anything from Marketplace will work free of charge...win win I say...

Sheesh - I just worked out that I have spent $125 in the last 2 weeks on marketplace;)

I see that Orbx have a sale at the moment - but not much for 2020 - BUT - if one goes to the marketplace - there is a raft of Orbx stuff

at well reduced prices - for all those PC and X box users - but make sure that the software will fit the X Box

I have GSX for MSFS, I thought I needed it but honestly I rarely use it....nothing I can see wrong but I got carried away thinking I needed everything I have in P3D but truthfully I don't, some reasonable stuff already in the sim and after you've watched people deboard a few times I get bored...

Too expensive for me - can't really see the use - I'd rather buy a new aircraft like the twin  Commanche which I have done

but I will soon need the plastic again in july for this baby that we have waited some time for

  11. I don't know about liking it  - a script by a typical jealous Pommy - but it was like this and known as the Glitter Strip - and still is

except that the airport you saw in the video and the aircraft are little bigger and faster

Yes!  The strip was like this in 1950 - and - yes 1 in 3 Australians dreamed of spending a week's holiday here

and were prepared to travel 500 or 1000 miles from Sydney and Melbourne to do it

Me - the wife and 5 kids did it first in 1972 from Melbourne - driving for 2 days to get here and the same back - for a stay of 2 weeks

until we discovered Noosa   - just 200 miles North on the Sunshine Coast - and eventually living there in 1986 - moving to here - GC - in 2005

As you all well know - I constantly winge over the fact that that Microsoft are still using Bing sats for the sim that is over 10 years old

which means that none of you - have any idea of what The Gold Coast looks like today:)

It better than the video - - the coast gets something like 20 million visitors per year and at least 1 million of those - are Pommes and Germans

coming here instead of Europe and Majorca - although - I believe Cyprus has taken over from Spain:D - unfortunately.

  12. For some reason - although I have been handling PC problems for 40 years - I just cannot get my head around these mobile phones

and Tablets that run on Androids - or should that be Steroids:)

I bought the wife a new tablet to replace an aging Samsung one - and which I thought I would use it in conjunction with the PC in the sim

    for say - PDF's  - or Checklists etc. - but I am lost:banghead:

Can someone please help an old dodderer as to how to get such things on a tablet using Android?

I do use a second monitor for little map - or checklists etc - but those of course are via Windows
