The interesting thing about a runway 14 ILS approach is that you come in between two table top mountains and typically you pass through what glider guys call rotors which is very unstable air caused by updrafts from the hills. Once the wind goes over the top of the hills it slams back down and rolls down wind. Makes for an exciting approach..

My question about these MSFS updates is can you continue flying without doing the update and you could just wait to update until the server load decreases?

My understanding is that with P3D if you click on uninstall in Orbx Central all that happens is the program can no longer access the scenery. It does not do a full uninstall. So that for example if you uninstall a True Earth scenery its not completely removed from your computer. Its not a long re download if you want to put it back. Is that basically correct?

Very nice. There have been several new revisions to Xplane 12. It continues to look better as time goes along.

I recently upgraded my video card to Radeon 6900XT XFX black edition. It really smoothed things out. Now I can go right up the SF Bay at relatively high settings with good frame rates. This was on a flight from San Carlos KSQL to Sonora KSTS.

I was going to do a flight from Blue Canyon Nyack, Ca to Elko, Nevada. But after seeing this courtesy of Rex Sky Force I just closed P3d and reopened it in Elko..

Are those shots with Orbx True Earth for Xplane 11? If so, looks really good.

I note there is a mixture control. These engines need to have the mixture leaned as they climb. For a really well done sim you can hear the engine rpms vary as you lean the mixture.

My only suggestion is that Xplane 12 is being updated every week. I run the updater weekly. Might be worth doing if you are not already updating. I have never had Xplane 11 and do not yet have any Xplane addons so I'm not much help on that front.
