  1. I always thought the cloouds in P3D, even with Sky Force, lacked definition.  It seemed like the details might be there but the dynamic range was lacking.  With RDShade there is a tweak that allows you to brighten the clouds and another tweek that increases the shadows which really brings out the details in the clouds.

  2. I am a bit surprised that not more seems to have been done to develop software that would make it easy to simultaneously develop scenery for all the main simulators.  I would think that would have been a priority by now.  Develop an airport for MSFS, for example, then pass it through the transition software and out  comes the airport in XP12 and P3D.

  3. So RDShade can make the cockpit brighter without making the scenery too bright?  In P3D5 I can make the cockpit brighter but then the scenery is too bright.  If the scenery is about right then the cockpit tends to be too dark.

  4. I notice that Volanta in P3D can display a profile of terrain elevation along the flight path of an ongoing flight.  However, I only see the terrain profile as far as the flight has already gone.   Can someone explain how to get a display of the the terrain elevation profile for an entire flight after I put in a flight plan?  If I have the entire terrain profile for a flight plan I can then plan altitude levels for the entire flight.

  5. I don't think you can disconnect time spent flight simming over the last few years from Corvid.  The more or less enforced need to stay at home and out of circulation and not being out meeting people.  Now that need is essentially gone for just about everybody.  We are still having days in southern Oregon when its too cold to be comfortable outdoors.  On those days I'm on the computer, but find my self planning changes on the garden rr.
