  1. It's been a bit of fun Rodger, and actually gave me a look into my past, lots of images I had forgotten I hadin my search for my old Painter work. I have one that I will post in a new thread of my daughter and her husband on one of her missions to Africa I think it was - it has to me, great subject matter - tells a story. Stay tuned.
  2. This is all I have found today, but not much time, and I got a bit lost reminiscing with some of the old pics I haven't seen in years. This image of Mia was from a associate shutter bug if I remember correctly Anthony Thorton. I really liked it, and asked if I could mess with it. Say hello to Mia
  3. Thanks John appreciate your kind comment. Hair takes a fair bit of work and rework to get it right. Actually you're right on the money with Anna, she is a Melbourne girl, I nicked the photo from a friend who met her at a wedding I think it was. In days of old, we used to swap images, before Painter. In those days it was strictly photography, I used to rove the streets of Melbourne taking what i thought at the time, "interesting subjects" both in B&W and colour. I had a huge collection of night time shots of the "night people" fossicking in rubbish bins, sleeping in doorways and the like. Unfortunately I lost ALL of them and many others when a storm hit Ipswich, they were stored under the house that got flooded, lost all except a few my wife took of me finishing the Melbourne "Big M" marathon, but they were damaged and not worth keeping. MY Nikon mysteriously disappeared during our move to Brisbane, the carton also had a lot of images in it. I replaced it with a Canon D7. Last year my wife suggested I sell it as it was just collecting dust now, I agreed, reluctantly, and that turned into a disaster as the guy that bought it, turned out to be a scammer and I never got a cent for it, $5000 down the drain with the lenses. Anyway enough waffle. I'll see wat else I can dig up in the next few days, I am enjoying swapping images with you and our chats. 🙂
  4. And Happy Easter to you and your family. Had a bit of time today, and found some of my old art, nothing worth posting mainly sketches, a lot unfinished, I had a bad habit of doing that. 🙄 With Painter, I got into a "nah that's crap" mode a lot, it's easy to get like that when you're messing around with digital paint.
  5. Anna Came across this looking for others
  6. Thank you Iain, and hopefully more to come. 🙂 Don
  7. Some nice work there John, Subject matter is very important, it has to tell a story. I particularly like the second painting. Even with the right software, as you would be aware, its not just a matter of sitting down and slapping some (digital) paint on a canvas. I have some, if I can find them, and given time I will, that have taken me hours to complete, simply because most people doing this sort of art are never happy with the result and do them over and over to get the right finish (?) to their art. I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to call mine "art", but I try. I've found that the more work I have to put into a painting, the more satisfaction I get when it's completed, providing of course, I'm happy with the final result. 🙂 Don
  8. Here's one from the master Jeremy Sutton. I don't have enough time left in my life to get this good or even close
  9. Nice one Carlos, like the reflection on the water. Don
  10. Magic set Carlos. 🙂 Don
  11. Oh yes, this is a top shot Iain, like it a lot Don
  12. Great collection Mike, like every one of them. Don
  13. Sorry John, there is a communication problem here "so we can work out what dosh he will end up with" He will finish up with "0". My missus is a tight fisted old bag 🤑 when it comes to money and her puppies. 🤥
  14. Okay I have the answer! I have had a message advising me that I am offline, which is garbage, regardless, MSFS takes that on board and after a number times decides enough is enough and switches off my "online function" in my data, hence no Market place. The fix I discovered is, go to General >> Data >> toggle online function and switch it off. Apply and Save, then go back and turn it on again, apply and save. "Voila" Market Place is restored. 🙂 Now John I will be able to spend up big with the money my wife gets from the sale of the pups. 😄 Yeah right, I'm dreaming, if I get my hands on one dollar of that......... Guess I might have to sell the Ferrari to get a new plane 😄😆😂
