  1. Thanks W2, if I was in better health today, I'd be bouncing off the walls πŸ˜„
  2. Taken from my morning flight - I did three around Brisbane, the Kodiak, the PAC and the Cessna 414AW Chancellor, all perfect. Just took this one shot, think I'll put it up on the wall to remind me the bad days are gone - hopefully. πŸ˜„ Thanks for looking Don
  3. After months of stuffing about with the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle control that just would not work, my problem is solved, (looks into the bin where he threw the Bravo)😑 This morning I dusted off my Saitek Throttle Control set it up and went for it, so far three out of three perfect flights around YBBN. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner, guess when you've coughed up over AU$400 you just have to see if you can make it work - it didn't, and now it's where it belongs. One of the biggest disappointments was NO communication from Honeycomb to see if they could help. Okay, the Saitek is my original and doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the Bravo has, but for now, it will be fine, I can have trouble free flying, improvements I can work on down the track. The other important point for me, is, I can now get on with finishing my sim set up instead of having day and after day of frustration and failed flights, brought about by poor equipment. Yep I know early days, I still have quite a few aircraft to test to make sure it's all good across the board, but right now it's certainly looking good. πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ Don
  4. Turned out to be MS server problem, down down down, but all good now she's up and running πŸ˜„
  5. You said it mate, I'm here to tell the story - best part. πŸ˜„ I can't go back, won't let me.
  6. Only been up that way by road once BUS. I was the Service Manager for Motorama Toyota and Toyota had a SM a technical forum at Airlie Beach. Worst trip of my life, miserable sods (to be polite), wouldn't fly us, and we nearly didn't make it, the bus driver kept running off the road - the relief driver hadn't turned up. Couple of the guys had to sit with him and bash him when he dropped off. πŸ˜‚ After that went to work for, Fortron, flew to Cairns and did a "milk run" back to Brissy, calling at all the dealerships, long trip. Moving on, since I changed the region, the sim wont go past the Asobo before it does a CTD, I wondering if MS loaded MSFS that can't be changed. I checked everything over and over and it all looks good, so I don't know. Don
  7. Thanks Andrew, how's the weather up north?
  8. I got my break when they carted me off to the hospital, and the recovery, wasn't the sort I wanted or needed, but it was a break - refreshing πŸ™„. Now I'm having another break, not from the sim, but from flying, trying to sort out the problems I've got with my new download, so I'm grounded until I get that done, but agree with all the guys, get away from it, find another interest, and come back refreshed. Don
  9. In my new install Win 10 the Microsoft whackers have given me the US version. I need to change it to local Australia version, AU$$$$$$ and good old OZ speak, not that damned Yankee drawl. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Must be in the settings somewhere, but I can't find it. Someone please. Thanks Don
  10. I dunno Gumby, I flew out of there a couple of days ago, pretty murky, don't remember the temp though. I have a mate lives down there, can't remember exactly where, must find out, everytime I see him he has his parka up around his ears. πŸ₯ΆπŸ˜„
  11. Great shots Adam, 42 are putting out some interesting and varied scenery, great for us bushies πŸ™‚ Don
  12. yep it was very stormy mate, typical Queensland weather, it came dumped and left πŸ™‚
  13. Yep know what you are saying. I've found with computers/MSFS, you have to be very careful what you do, if you don't know what you are doing,(thats me).
  14. You should know about that living where you do πŸ˜„ Freezin bloody cold Island. But yeah it did, then out came the sun, what is it, beautiful today perfect tomorrow, something like that. Don
  15. Thanks Angelo, I like to fly in a bit of weather, makes it more interesting I think. Don
  16. I've partly installed MSFS files, so thought I'd have a quick flight to see what works, so far so good. Just off YBBN, murky day, clouds were interesting Thanks for looking Don
  17. Very nice Filou, I really like that Don
  18. Thanks TMP, part of my problem is time. Not sure if you've seen any of my earlier posts, but I'm in the early stages of Covid recovery and am only allowed an hour or two a day on my sim, (I do cheat a bit.) I will however give it a go at some stage, probably a bit at a time. With the Bravo controller problem, what I don't understand is why it only affects "some" aircraft and not all, including default aircraft. Thanks Don
  19. Thanks Andy, tips a bit late, all done, but wish I had done that - two hours to C&P. I'll look into the addon linker.
  20. πŸ˜„ I see a collar in her right hand (paw), is that all that's left of the dog. πŸ˜„
  21. Hello Nick, our breeder friend we got Max from, says Lab's are a stomach with a mouth, eat and eat. When Maggie was about 8 months old, we rushed her to the vet her stomach was huge, very embarrassing, Vet said go home and make sure you keep your food in a container she cant get at - she full of food. She got into the bag and just ate and ate. $50 bill. mmmmmmmmmmmπŸ˜‚ Don
  22. Thats me Rodger, slow, very slow, particularly when it involves computersπŸ™‚
  23. Yes mate, I did the default install from the store, the community folder was there but empty of course, so I did as Jean-Jacques suggested and copied the back up into the "packages" folder. I have quite a bit of scenery and aircraft, but not enough to almost fill my "C" drive. Before the reinstall it was a bit over half full, it's a 2 tig SSD, and this is why I don't understand where all the other files have come from to fill it. Is it possible somehow my backup installed onto my "C" drive twice? Is there any way I can check this? Something I found odd was, that this being a "clean" install, my aircraft control settings were still there, and the CJ4 I accidently deleted at the last update is not there. I thought all the default aircraft would be there on a fresh install Don
  24. Hi Nick, I agree with everything you've said. My first problem is training my wife πŸ™„LOL, our dogs are pretty well trained, they do most of the basic stuff - except at meal time, I'm working on that. A bit like you, we had a Cavilier King Charles for fourteen years, (Jackson), unfortunately he passed due to heart failure, about three years ago, and we still miss him. Every night without fail, he would sit at my feet and watch TV with me. I get a lot of pleasure and satisfaction out of training and the results. One thing I miss is taking them for a walk, because of my lung situation, that's a nono now. When the puppies arrive and it's time for adoption, my wife will be very strict in her assessment of people wanting to adopt them, she was very good at that when she had the Ragdoll kittens, in several cases refusing to let them have a kitten due to attitude and not understanding what is required, so I know she will be the same with the puppies, (and I'll be standing by)πŸ˜‰ It's hard to believe that your boy, had three owners in under two years, that I find hard to understand, I had a problem dog many years ago, and as hard as it was, you just keep on and we finally got the result we needed, much like your wife. Give her our best regards from us, for caring and her success. 😘 Don
  25. Better not be the dog, she's pregnant. πŸ˜„ I had six, yes 6 hours with a MS tech trying to sort out a problem, they re-installed win 10 for me four times and it wouldn't fire up, God knows what problems I've got now. MSFS is up and running, thats about all I can say, testing day has arrived, we'll see. πŸ™„
