  1. @JonJ509Attach your scenery_packs.ini and I will check it. Is the True earth airport Orbx EGLC?
  2. I also think that a lot of the "missing stuff" may be intentional as it certainly allows scenery developers like Orbx to contribute potentially very heavily in these missing areas. Consider MSFS as a platform and not as a totally all encompassing, nothing else to do, complete sim. It isn't and will never be, but with MS updates and 3rd party devs contributing to an ever improving sim, then things are looking very bright, for MS, the Sim and 3rd party devs. There are going to be learning curves especially for devs let alone customers of the sim itself. No one has yet got a completed final SDK as it is constantly being worked on by MS so there are going to be initial "restrictions" as to what can be done in scenery addons, as is being noted by some. These glitches or anomalies are shared responsibilities of both Asebo and the 3rd [arty devs. When restrictions are found then Devs report that to Asebo for potential rectification. We all need to be patient and enjoy what is on offer currently as more will become on offer as time goes on. Exciting times I think.
  3. You will find out more at the time of you wanting to install. No as I also said in my post the App is NOT small, it is over tens of gigabytes. If it was small there would be no need to forewarn anyone about the issue. Regarding Windows Apps, no MSFS installs it's own App. I suggest you just follow the advice given and you can always make changes later as per the additional advice form Nick below. I feel you are trying to think of all possible computations rather than just, if necessary, changing the path to where the MSFS App is to be put. I only put the post up because many people will not necessarily have the required free space on their C drive, to accommodate tens of gigabytes if the Alpha is anything to go by. I don't want to be more specific at this point as I am still under NDA and am not sure of how much more I am allowed to pass on. I have highlighted the important parts of the info in Nicks post in red: "Hello, as I mentioned, you must remember to choose the location of the files to match your chosen location when installing for the first time. Basically, the installation is in two parts and you can have those two parts together or separate. As Jon explains, if you don't follow his advice, the app part will default to the C drive. Even if you do not use the option that Jon has kindly explained, you can subsequently use the Move option in Windows\Apps & Features\Right click on the game, to move the application files to where you want them as well."
  4. I actually clearly stated that my suggestion was to have both the MSFS App and the sim on the same drive: " I suggest you place that on the same drive as you are going to put your full installation" As Nick says though you can place it where you want. I personally never put any extensive programmes on my C drive, only utility tools.
  5. As has been mentioned in various posts here about MSFS there is a need to ensure you know where your location for downloading and installing Apps is. By default Windows places the installation of new Content onto your C drive. MSFS will therefore load the MSFS app in that location unless you change the location. It can be several tens GBs of installation and is not the same as installing the sim in total. The additional sim attributes and the major GB bulk of the sim can be installed where you direct it to be installed. I see many people reporting they have cleared space on existing HDDs or even buying new SSD/HDD to accommodate the new sim. To set he installation of the MSFS to that new or "cleared" SSD/HDD you need to go into Windows/Settings/System/Storage and scroll down to: "Change where new content is saved" as in the pic below: Then enter the new path/location. I suggest you place that on the same drive as you are going to put your full installation: Doing that now will prevent some from finding they don't have enough free space on their C drive to initiate the sim installation process.
  6. I am no expert in this area but I see a file in your pic, contained within the Aerosoft package, called Orthophoto. Have you had a chance to just remove that to a safe place and test the airport again without the Orthophoto file?
  7. @Tony Wroblewski for comment regarding 3rd party airport compatibility please.
  8. I will need the developer @Tony Wroblewski to answer that but regarding the airports file that you deleted. I attach it again as it required by this addon to be installed. I do not believe it contains full blown modded airports but probably elevation data for some of the island's airports. Tony can confirm. Orbx_A_EU_Spain_Balearic_TE_Airports.zip
  9. If you have placed them manually to the top of the scenery_packs.ini then you have placed them incorrectly. The TE Florida airports needs to go above Global Airports and the 3 TE Florida scenery files need to go directly below Global Airports.
  10. I see a couple of of floating buildings as well @Greg Jones @Tony Wroblewski for comment. Both tagged as i don't know if it is an issue with TEGB North or Dundee airport
  11. Can you attach a pic please so we can take a look and keep a record of it.I will test now to see if I see floating buildings.
  12. Many thanks. Now you have given more details I see that your download folder is also pathed to your large disk drive, Please attach your Orbx Central log file available via Orbx Central/settings/help as this will be needed to be passed to the Orbx Central support forum for advice. As this seems to be an installation issue where the free space on the disk drive for the Temp and installation is sufficient it needs looking at by the Orbx Central team @Nick Cooper Please move this to the Orbx Central support forum for review. Thanks
  13. Where is your temp folder? I suspect it is on C drive as that is the default location. Yes you have more than enough free disk space on the installation drive but maybe not enough on the download drive. I am only guessing as i don't know where your temp folder is located not what free space in C drive you have. For TE Florida you need as a minimum 220-230Gb of free space on your download drive, as indicated in the product info section of TE Florida at Orbx direct. Please see the attached link as it contains how to move your Temp folder, in your case preferably to the external drive. It will of course take longer to complete the installation on an external drive as they tend to be somewhat slower than internal drives:
  14. Just make sure you use the revised scenery_packs.ini that i sent you earlier as your original one was very wrongly layered.
  15. If you read this topic posted a while back, the very same issue is reported and i provided a resolution by creating a standalone copy of the default KMIA. I attach that copy for you now. Just unzip it and place it in your Custom Scenery folder. Orbx have not changed any airports in TE Florida, so what you are seeing is the photo image of the airport. For some reason, some people are not seeing the default KMIA which is in Global Airports. This attachment rectifies that.. KMIA_Scenery_Pack.zip
  16. Here is an official and approved Orbx fix for the missing Tillmook Air Museum when having the TE Oregon addon installed; Unzip and place the file into Custom Scenery and in the highest priority in your scenery_packs.ini. Orbx_A_US_Oregon_TE_Tillamook.zip @Nick Cooper Maybe a good idea to pin this FIX as a separate post on the support forum and mark the Bug Report as Resolved?
  17. 99.9% of the time it is due to a potential lack of Disk space to perform a complete conversion process of jpg images to dds format images which are twice the size of jpg. The link given by Smudger describes in detail the prerequisites of Disk space required.
  18. @Sentry11 Many thanks from me for your help in resolving this issue for those that don't both TE Washington and Oregon.
  19. @rinkerbuck I believe Sentry11 was directing this mod to you but you weren't "tagged" correctly.
  20. That's good news. Now you can bike there in the real world or fly there in your sim!! Nice dirt bike by the way Also nice to see that a plane from the UK Channel Islands managed to make it to Tillamook on one tank of gas
