  1. Hi Caleb

I have also used cooling pads for some laptops, but I also remove any covers on the bottom side, such as the memory access and HDD access covers if they are present, and it definitely helped, kind of like opening up the cowl flaps on an aircraft.

  2. Ok thanks

    Next lets try this,

In your scenery library put a check to activate every entry.

Then restart the simulator so it will rebuild the scenery.cfg with everything activated.

    Then close the simulator.

Then open Orbx Central and go to settings/help and run the sync simulator function and wait for the green success banner.

Then have another look at the insertion point list, if it hasn't changed, then restart Orbx Central and have another look.

  3. Looks good.

The farther in the distance view is not only a limitation of the simulator, but even in real life, trying to see things in a higher resolution at great distances is a challenge.

The (LOD) Level of detail radius setting is what limits it in the sim.

You could also experiment with the P3D zoom setting that will be visible in the top right corner of the screen when adjusting, I use a setting of .55 when viewing from the cockpit, and 1.00 for external view. Keeping in mind, I am also viewing the sim across three 24" monitors, but when I post a screen shot, I will use windowed mode and bring the entire image to one monitor.

this is at trueearth florida should the ground resolution look better when this close to the ground?

No, it will never look better than that flying that fast and low, no PC can handle that. You would need to fly a different aircraft very slow and low, that is the purpose of the TE products.

Could you also please post your P3D World and Lighting settings?

  5. Thanks William

So using the existing scenery.cfg your insertion point should be "UT Exclusions For Default Scenery" (as shown in the below image as it is the lowest non Orbx 3rd party entry), I see you have all the "UT" items unchecked/deactivated, so you might need to activate them in order to see them in the insertion point list.

Also below is an image showing where your Tongass Fjords should be placed.

And also for your refence the image below for setting the insertion point.

when i install new Orbx sceneries it throws me the Entire scenerie Libary in the Simulator

Hi, I don't understand what you are trying to say in the above statement, could you please explain.

Items in the addons list are not meant to, or need to be moved up or down, so what you see is normal.

Everything in our scenery library (scenery.cfg) and addons list is correct.

  7. Hi

Orbx products are downloaded and unzipped to your C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Temp folder and sometimes need up to 3x their install size before they get installed to the simulator location, then after the install is complete, they are removed from your C:\ drive. You can move the Temp folder to a drive with more space using the option in Orbx Central settings\downloader.

Below is a link to the manual, which can also be found in Orbx Central.

Should the drop down menu scroll and show all the scernery's I have?

    Hi William

No it is not meant to duplicate the scenery library.

Please post a copy of your scenery.cfg file found at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX, and we will have a look and identify the correct item to choose for your insertion point.
Please note: Do not open the file and copy and paste the contents, just attach the file.
