  1. Great shots, and surprisingly I like the flight photos more than the food ones !
  2. Thanks for the info, @DaveTfc. However I went back to the combination of defender and my antivirus program, and these two I feel sufficient.
  3. Dear mates (and especially @FalconAF, @Chris.D, and - last but surely not least - @Nick Cooper ), I got the issue solved! It was not the interaction of Windows 10 defender and my antivirus program. It was the "Acronis Active Protection" which came with the backup software I had installed before the change from win 7 to win 10: After deactivating this malware-blocker the loading times of P3D are now back to normal - and I will now return to flying and posting here!
  4. Thank you Nick - I´ll try to focus on this issue now (there is no obvious function to do so...).
  5. Hi Chris thanks for your comments. I was happily running Win7 until now as well, but decided to switch as the Microsoft support (=updates) for it will end next January. It was still possible to change for free, and all runs well - except my flight sim... I tried to follow your hints, Falcon, as it sounds logical. Unfortunately my version (win10 Home v1809) does not show any of the options to deactivate the defender (or to define exclusions) that I found in the web (until now): It has the perfect automatism to recognize my antivirus program and therefore allows no access to any defender settings. I´ll search more... or hope for some good suggestions here.
  6. I fear that the update from Win7 to Win10 did something. Not the simstarter thing which only cut short the list of add-ons - the negative effect here is gigantic. Anyone did this change before or has experience?
  7. I know that there have been some other suffering long p3d loading times... I now have the same after upgrading my OS. But I know this community is great... Does someone have an idea how to cure this? Maybe some p3d files have been hidden somewhere on C:/ which I just have to find and move somehwere else? Or a complete new-install of p3d? Any hints are appreciated.
  8. After all I am not so sure. At least he did not run away from the plane in panic.
  9. So sorry John, I was not there to help you. But, see, WAS state is a bit too easterly for RFDS to serve! Hehehe. It remains unclear what caused that bloke to fall and recieve difficulties in articulation. The secrets of the outback I suppose. Thank you John. Deserts shown in this detail are not boring at all! Hahaha, I was just looking for a picture to give evidence for the intoxication... and by the way found some with a local touch. Brewed according to German law! Oh, all but cool, mate. All the time > 35°C! Thank you Adam. Given the temperatures down there I can understand why somebody wants to finish the 5 litres. Alone. Thanks, and I´ll try to, Mark. As far as my real-life travel schedule allows...
  10. We were called for a tourist to pick him up at Kings Creek Station. The report said he was run down by a "gigantic, fierce man or bear", fell and got "severly" injured. An unknown time later he was found "somehow lying on the ground of his tent, not able to speak in understandable words". When he woke up he claimed that he only had "one beer, maybe two" during the evening. Upon our arrival he was found stable, but with a severe headache. No traces of the offender were seen, and none of the other tourists reported any uncommon observation. Even the crowd of Big Reds aside the cattle station were quiet... So we just put him into the Jeep and drove him to our plane. Off we went, following Larapinta Drive to the north, ... ... passing Kings Canyon NP. Not a big sight in the sim, but should be in real. (Will be checked next year...) The road winds itself up northwards through the western ridges (there should be a lookout point)... ... and finally turns to the east at "Camels Hump". I wonder how this name was found. Into the western MacDonnell Ranges... you see the crossroad bottom left? As our patient seemed to be in stable condition, we did this little detour... ... seeing Gosses Bluff meteroite crater up the road. We continued to follow Larapinta Drive, which goes right east through Hermannsburg. A few minutes later we passed Pine Gap tracking station (to the right), still following the road towards YBAS. The city of Alice Springs to the left. Descending over the ranges... ... into the 13. Do not land on the dragway to the right! After a safe & soft landing... ... our passenger was taken to the nearby RFDS center. No more symptoms left! In the afternoon he was picked up by his bunch. They also returned the trash from their tour. Maybe this "one beer" is an explanation for all symptoms and observations of our patient.
  11. Great light, and the last camera setting is fantastic, Thom!
  12. Thank you for the info, Scott. For saving time with GSX2, would it be possible to have a list of all orbx airports where the jetways are part of the terminal model (and thus can not be changed yet)? Thanks again, Gerold
  13. The southern end of Lake Guri does look a bit strange... maybe there was not enough data for the coastline? N 7°84020, W 63°94239
  14. I wonder if something similar exists for the Oeresund bridge at Copenhagen as well? I suffer from its twin since I changed to p3d (with FT EKCH installed).
  15. I can´t get the "eye" finction to accept anything longer than one line. And as I have to make a complete reinstall following the orbxlibs upgrade, i don´t want to spent more time on this next open issue.... Hope someone finds an easy guide.
  16. Bad luck you have a severe speed limit in your country. Well, we have traffic jams instead...
  17. Great shot Alex, your lens looks small compared to the ventilator behind you...
  18. I simply HAVE to make another suggestion: in the current Lufthansa Inflight magazine there is a story regarding Samsoe Airport, on a danish island in the Kattegat. Find the article, a map and marvelous detailed shots here on page 70-76 (nearly a must-read for north european bushflyers): http://www.lhm-lounge.de/downloads/standardbeitrag/608359/lh_1410_inter.pdf
  19. Indeed a good idea, great location between the mountains (and small enough to be out of the view for payware...)! Another nice alps location could be Aosta LIMW...
  20. Amazing coincidence here. I can feel how that makes you proud. Great. After 69 years I begin to wonder why every country celebrates their soldiers or war´s ending - except us. Wasn´t it a good thing this ended?
  21. Great to learn about you, Karsten! And good you also had snow in the holidays. Danke fuers posten!
  22. Ok mates, I have just seen this slight hint to add a little bit of information about me... so, here we go. I am Chemist, working for an international company which gets me the chance to see some parts of the world by real life flying. For example, I did visit the company where TeeCee was employed some years ago - and which was put into the Tasmania scenery by him. My nickname also comes from Tasmania - the Stillwater is a fantastic restaurant in Launceston. I just started flightsimming in 2008, when the FSX became nearly flyable. Not to the full pleasure of my wife, who might prefer me being a honeydo... . But I think our 3 kids are more liberal to see me hanging at the computer... My real life hobby is field hockey, we are all playing (ok, I am "over 45"), coaching or even acting as umpires (So I liked the discovery of the hockey pitch just south of YBCS...). So, who is next here in this thread ?
