Here is another of my favourites, something that I doubt that is very often seen.

Hello,
the suggestion is well made and also discussed.
I have made the marketing department aware of the topic.
Thanks to all who contributed.

Hello,
isn't this a beta version of XPlane 12? -
Hello,
this is to replace Carlos' topic on this subject.
I have moved the original into the Orbx section, so that it can be worked upon.
As soon as there is any updated information, it will be posted here.

The placebo effect
In fact, there are a couple of ways to multiply the apparent frame rate that do exactly what it says on the tin.
I have tried one and discarded it because of the artifacts, though it does indeed double the frame rate.
The fact that it does this by inserting frames between frames does not mean that it is some kind of trick that does nothing.
In fact the only way to increase the frames per second rate is indeed to insert more frames into each second.
Looking at the reviews of both, no one suggests that they do not work, only that there are unwanted
artifacts in some cases.I understand both "snake oil" and the "placebo effect" to be perceptions that something works when in fact it does nothing.
In this case the previous mod and this app seem to do exactly what they promise but with drawbacks that
are acceptable, or not, to those who choose to use them. -

Thanks Nick and John,
The picture is taken from gate 12 towards the Southwest, so further down from the point yours is, John.
I have attached a new picture taken after I did what has been advised by Nick. The problem is still there.Anu other solutions. In the meantime I will re-install the product as the only product in the community folder.
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Hans
Hello,
I am seeing this at the exact same place:so I guess that there must still be a conflicting product.
If it's not in the Community folder, could it be something that you bought from the Marketplace? -
Hello,
the idea is to put just the EGCC model in your Community folder and then add back your other add-ons until you find the one that conflicts.
In all cases, leave the Tai Models EGCC in the Community folder.
The best way forwards from where you are now, is to take out half of what you added back.
If the problem has gone, then remove the remaining addons and put back half of the ones you took out.
If the problem is still there, take half of the remaining add-ons out and so on
If the problem is still gone, take that half out and put back the other half.
Continue like that and soon, you will have very few other add-ons and you should be able to isolate the problem one.-

Hello,
it looks as if your Orbx Central Insertion point is not set correctly.
This is how it should be set:which places all openLC entries below the airports and regions.

Hello,
the product is indeed by Aviotek and for support, you can go to Support | Aviotek Software -
Hello,
here is a topic that should help you diagnose the problem:-

Hello Dave,
I think that what we are all finding difficult to relate to is thatthere seems to be a disconnect between the airstrip in Scotland that is modelled
and the descriptive text. This is what the internet has to say about Glenswinton:
QuoteGLENSWINTON: Private airstrip (Aka GLENSWINTON FARM)
Location: 2.5nm SSW of Gibbshall on the A712, 3nm NNE of Parton on the A713 and 8.5nm NW to NNW of Castle Douglas
Period of operation: 2011 to present day
Runway: 2011: 03/21 380 compacted gravel
2019: 03/21 425 compacted gravel
So all references to World War One and Two and its place in aviation history do not seem to fit.-

Here is a real world visit to the one near to Castle Douglas:
Trips & Airports - Andreas to Glenswinton (euroga.org)
The internet has nothing to indicate any usage of this prior to 2011.It also states that RAF Merryfield was opened in 1944.
Could the description
QuoteOriginally serving as a military airfield during World War I, it played a crucial role in defending the skies over the UK.
After the war, the airfield transitioned into a civilian facility, becoming a hub for flying clubs and private aviators.be for a third facility somewhere?

Hello,
any addon scenery can be added to FSX from any location on the same PC
by adding the path to the addon's scenery folder to the in-game library.
Could the path(s) have been changed?
-
Hello,
I doubt that your proposed course of action will resolve this, as the problem seems to be with Orbx Direct.
A reinstallation of Orbx Central will indeed pick up all of your installed products, though you may well need to recreate
the Orbx Central Library settings, if you have used that installation method. -
Hello ,
the support ticket that was sent in was immediately forwarded to the Orbx IT team,
as stated in the reply.
They are the only ones who can resolve this.
Apologies for the delay.-

Hello,
indeed there was a problem, now resolved, but stuck items seem to be a consequence of it.
Work is in progress to resolve them.
Apologies for the inconvenience. -
Hello,
their support ticket link appears to be working:-

Hello,
Marcus is aware of this and is working as hard as possible.
He wrote this on the Discord channel:QuoteBeen working on it now in the morning, hopefully it can be a quick turn-around and I can have a patched version ready for testing tomorrow. Only negative news on this is that the changes needed will also mean that the City Update will be required for a flawless experience from now on, I can't make it work perfect both with default streamed material and the city update. I've also removed quite a few of the POI's we added as the photogrammetry looked better in some cases. So trying to keep the best of our Stockholm version and combine it with the City Update-version. Must say though that I'm very glad to finally see the photogrammetry update being released, makes a huge difference for the Stockholm experience and the Bromma approaches became 10 times more entertaining 😉

Hello,
it says "Seamless integration with Ortho4XP, or any other package that includes satellite images".
Orbx True Earth products include satellite images, so I am assuming that there will be a seamless integration.
Orbx are not the developers, but you can ask them directly here:
