This Week's Meaningless Topic (#109)(Sept 7)

I am looking for a time machine to get back into September. Does that count? . To answer the question, I don't really have a favourite type. I tend to move around and try everything. For me, that's part of joy of simming. I probably fly warbirds and small GA most but also fly tubeliners, fast jets and vintage. A week or so ago I even purchased a helicopter. Not into gliders yet, but there is always time. Maybe one day! -

Thank you Wayne. Let's hope that it stays peaceful as well .

Thank you Wayne . From memory you have a choice and can turn the effect on and off.

Thanks Calum . Indeed, it looks amazing there.

Thanks Gumby . Yes, I wanted to show some of the options for using the scenery (floatplanes, helicopters, boats).

The Great Barrier Reef situated off the East coast of Australia. Good for floatplanes, helicopters and boats. Hopefully Orbx partner Auscene will release nearby Hamilton Island (YBHM) soon . A few images in MSFS.

Thanks Wayne. Apparently, in real life they limit the number of visitors to the island.

I purchased from Steam and not had any problems. You buy the version for the hardware - ie pc version for a pc and xbox version for xbox. There are more addons available for the pc. I purchased the premium deluxe. It has extra aircraft and handcrafted scenery included. Otherwise, there is no difference between the versions. Have fun!

Excellent Filou. True Earth in X Plane is my favourite for a realistic VFR experience .

Thanks Landon. It's a nice piece of scenery. I saw that it was short - no problem in a Waco!

Thank you kindly Bernd .

Thanks Jack. Some developers (especially in the smaller/mid-sized airports) are increasingly including very good models .
