FriLa
First I must say I do not have FTX Global. But this pyramid mountains at the west border of the scenery seem to have not a texture reason. Here are two screenshots: Is this effect usual whithout Global? Is there a mesh missing? Thanks in advance for your help, Fritz
Double J
I have FTXGlobal and I noticed the same. Not to the same extent but when flying over them you can see a distinct pyramid shape to the nearby mountain ridge.

FriLa
Thanks Double J! So I think it is the Monument Valley mesh which causes these strange pyramids. Hoping for the next update, Cheers, Fritz
Double J
Mesh is at 5 and mesh complexity at 100. FTX Central is set to FTXGlobal.
Wolter van der Spoel
did you run the latest library files after the install of Monument Valley ? if not then do so, they are available here => https://www.fullterrain.com/support#Orbxlibs
Double J
Latest Libraries installed....many times. Vector not installed. No other mesh installed. Only scenery installed in my FSX is Orbx.
FriLa
Same for me - several times latest libraries installed! Mesh 5 m, Mesh complexity
Rob Abernathy
I can't find anything that looks like your screenshots in my FSX. I searched the West side of the scenery, even in top down view but no pyramid shapes. Can you take note the latitude and longitude of one of these spots so I can go to the exact spot? Could this be the problem? Disable UT25 in Vector tool AEC (if you have Vector installed) http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/90504-ftx-na-monument-valley-incorrect-elevations/
Holger Sandmann
Hi guys, I have an idea what might be causing this and will check with the developer (Frank) about it. Can you let us know which third-party terrain mesh files for western North America, if any, you have installed? Cheers, Holger
Double J
No Vector installed and no third party mesh.
FriLa
Same for me, no vector, but Grand Canyon with Holger-Mesh. But this is far away.
Frank Dainese
Hi FriLa, Thanks to cooperation with Holger, we probably found the solution:add this file .BGL in folder scenery, and test .... MeshUSMVm.zip
Double J
It's better close to the airport/town but as you move to the north there is still some pyramids, also there appears to be a small ridge that has taken on the shapes just to the east of the first ridge, in last photos. FriLa
Hello Frank, I think the file "MeshUSMVm.bgl" should go into the folder "FSX\ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_AA_MONUMENTVALLEY\Scenery" right? Unfortunately there are still these pyramids. What else can I try? Thanks, Fritz
Frank Dainese
further changes ...deletes the previousadd in scenery folder "FSX \ Orbx \ FTX_NA \ FTX_AA_MONUMENTVALLEY \ Scenery" test .... however, the whole problem is out of my scenery. FriLa
Thank you Frank, that new file seems to be the solution! I could not find any pyramids and it seems to have no other side effects! Thanks again, Fritz

EDDM2
Hello all, I had the same issues. I have a general question, do the rocks (West Mitten Buttes etc.) look different in FSX than in P3D? I only have those round edged hills instead of 3D Models appearing in FSX. It does not look quite like the screenshots on your product page. Thank You EDDM2

Haltek
Hi - this is just something I've noticed for the first time tonight as I set FTX Central in Global Mode (I had always had it in US mode but forgot to change it after a Europe flight) and noticed the same pyramidal structures as shown in your capture, hopefully some sort of update will address this.
