macca22au Posted November 17, 2014 Share Posted November 17, 2014 I did two flights from Coolangatta (YBCG) to Townsville (YBTL) last night. One was over Aus SP4, the other with Global and Vector. In terms of crispness, colour, landclass and representation of reality Global and Vector were really the better. Places like the Gold Coast were more up to date of course, given the relative age of the product. In defence of Aus full-fat region, it does have many natural features like small lakes etc not shown on Global. But Aus4, like me, is fading and needs renovation. NZ is also beginning to look a bit tired now, when compared to all the new goodies - for the same reason - but I still love it! I dunno - it must end up being a marketing policy decision.
