Jocko Flocko
Other than 'Mile Hi' just up the valley, this was one of the most difficult approaches I've ever done in FSX/P3D. With the weather that was generated by ASN, I had some very "weird" winds and updrafts taking place, but I got her down with a bit of a thump. This strip would be perfect for the raw power and STOL attributes of the LHC Quest Kodiak. It's an awesome strip, check it out if you haven't already. gazpatt
Great shots, there are some fantastic strips in this area, there is a really good website (mountainflying.com) with lots of info about the strips around there with pictures and descriptions about how to make the approaches. I08 Cabin Creek USFS Airport Big Creek Ranger Station, Idaho, USA You inspired me to try this out! I love it when people find nooks that I haven't seen yet! I tried my Bird Dog at first and it took a few tries. Then I cheated and brought out the Storch and that bird conquered I08 the first time. See video below. It surprised me that on Airnav this field averaged 75 movements per month. http://youtu.be/iH8e3jgk0T4
Jocko Flocko
What type of GPS is that and where from? Good screenies also. Hey Aussieman, it's the Flight 1 GNS 750. It's a remarkable piece of software and I highly recommend it. Being able to drag, point and click on the 750's screen via a mouse has cut flight planning by 1/3. It's kind of pricey but it's a keeper IMO. You inspired me to try this out! I love it when people find nooks that I haven't seen yet! I tried my Bird Dog at first and it took a few tries. Some nice smooth flying there with that Storch! P3D's night vision filter is pretty cool for letting you try it in the dark!
Patrick Cox
Thanks mate. I will have a look at it as the Garmin GNS 430 and 530 that I have are not compatible with P3D V2.
