jpreou
Jeff's Round the World with ORBX (032) Leg 032 - N.Alaska I now have Opus! My flight sim 'picture diary' continues. Opus and REX are really throwing it at me. This trip was: Barrow (PABR) to Deadhorse (PASC) Really wondering whether I should be doing this! wow! Question for you 'real-lifers' out there: does it actually look anything like this for real? Playing with the Opus camera views... I find that up at 12,5000ft I'm out of it. I plug in the oxygen bottle and look at the flow. Ok, not too bad; with luck I should make my next landing with just a little to spare, despite the 32kts just off the nose and the reduced 146kt ground speed. Let's hope I don't have any problems with the O2; I'd rather not have to go back down into *that*! Ahh, a bright spot on the horizon at last! The boys at Deadhorse are on vigil, looking out for me; I hope the field *isn't* appropriately named in this instance! Another ILS approach; I'm getting the hang of them now and since this one was right on glidescope I allowed the A/P to take it all the way in. Cool Thanks for looking. BradB
Well my guess in RL is Jeff , that you would have stalled the plane because of ice buildup and you would not been able to share these fantastic shots with us . Cheers Brad
jpreou
That is true, probably, Brad; just as well we can do this in the sim! Still leaves me curious though.
Orbxtreme
Nice set, and regarding your question for shot number three, it would look similar to this when you fly in heavy snow with the landing light on.
lifejogger
Looks like an exciting flight. Sometimes bad weather makes for good screenshots.
