Jeff's Round the World with ORBX (032)

Leg 032 - N.Alaska

I now have Opus! My flight sim 'picture diary' continues. Opus and REX are really throwing it at me.

This trip was:

Barrow (PABR) to Deadhorse (PASC)

Really wondering whether I should be doing this!

Question for you 'real-lifers' out there: does it actually look anything like this for real?

Playing with the Opus camera views...

I find that up at 12,5000ft I'm out of it. I plug in the oxygen bottle and look at the flow. Ok, not too bad; with luck I should make my next landing with just a little to spare, despite the 32kts just off the nose and the reduced 146kt ground speed. Let's hope I don't have any problems with the O2; I'd rather not have to go back down into *that*!

The boys at Deadhorse are on vigil, looking out for me; I hope the field *isn't* appropriately named in this instance! ???

Another ILS approach; I'm getting the hang of them now and since this one was right on glidescope I allowed the A/P to take it all the way in. Cool :)
