Bassman
For my Xmas present ( at tad late but what the heck...) I can buy either a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke Control system, or a set of Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Which one? CptMatt
If you're flying GA having no rudder control is like playing a racing game with automatic braking and gear changes turned on. It's not a simulation at all. If I could only have one bit of hardware it would be rudder control. You can get yourself a nice second hand Joystick on ebay for a few dollars. I bought an unopened CH flight stick on ebay last year for a pound! Using this in conjunction with the rudder pedals will make you happy until you can afford the yoke. I've never read / heard a good thing about the Saitek Yoke FYI.
kiwi stu
I'm on my third saitek yoke..had no probs with them..wore the first 2 out. Got rudder pedals also..man..I got everything... Get yoke first as per the others comments Cheers stu
gandy
I would also pass on the yoke unless you are thinking of getting the Cessna yoke which is meant to be better build quality. Saitek have almost no support system so if you get a fault you could end up with a duff bit of hardware and nothing or nowhere to return it to should a fault develop. I have the rudder pedals and i cant complain about them other than mine are starting to wear out a little and they are in need of a good service
