Continuing my Japanese flight the Island of Sado, looks like an interesting place to visit.

It is just 25 miles off the coast.

Turning west over the Shinano River, Japan's largest. The town of Sanjo is bottom right.

2.1BjD6.jpg

Over the Sea of Japan. The Okozu Canal can be seen to the right. The mountain of Taho-zan is under the Cessna.

3.DRMbW.jpg

Approaching eastern Sado which is the 6th largest island in Japan after the 4 main islands and Okinawa.

4.tIAp3.jpg

Crossing the Kosado Range with the highest peak of Ochi-yama just above the Cessna's tail.

5.s9N5X.jpg

Over Mano Bay.

6.ePKYW.jpg

Now flying along the Osado Range with Kinpoku-san clearly visible above the aircraft.

Another view of Kinpoku-san.

Looking back along the Osado Range.

The port of Sado can be seen along with Lake Kamo. This lake is salt water and very good for oysters. The bay beyond is Ryotsu Bay.

10.ubZvi.jpg

Flying along the western edge of the Kosado Range. The plain between the 2 mountain ranges is Kuninaka.

11.2DIrL.jpg

Looking back at Kuninaka with the Kokufugawa, the islands longest river.

Because of the high ground of the lower slopes of the Osado Range a curved approach is made to Sado's airport.

Almost there.

Kinpoku-san forms a picturesque background to the airport.

I did this flight or nearabouts in default fsx a year back--what a difference!

The whole world has changed sine then, and it's only going to get better.

Fine set indeed.

cheers

Great shots and tour Martyn.

Great tour of Japan, enjoyed your shots and narration.

what addon does the costlines etc ?

This is FSGenesis. Only had it 1 week but it has complemented FTXG so well.

I see that FTXG does a good job for Japan. Thanks for that set.
