Flight Sim Geek Posted July 1, 2013 Share Posted July 1, 2013 Long time since I posted here... I recently purchase FTX Scotland so decided to do a flight with. Sorry for the poor quality, Photoshop decided to use extremely heavy compression. Anyway, here it goes! Just before taxing onto the runway at Manchester. Typical British weather. Up, up and away! Nice clouds? A horribly compressed image of the flight deck during cruise. Nice sky colours, if it were not for the horrible compression yet again! The beautifully (compressed) ORBX Scotland Some challenging weather may be brewing in the clouds? On our way down, as expected plenty of turbulences and updrafts, but no problem to me! Now, it is really getting cloudy. Sharp turn (and a pretty fast one) on the STAR to line up with the ILS. Established on the ILS and coming down at a somewhat controlled pace. Almost there, I can almost touch the ground, but where is the runway!? Ah, all is good. Runway in sight. A nice touchdown, pretty smooth for my standards... Phew! I always enjoy to see the NGX! ... one tiny thing though: Better leave TCAS ON next time ... lots of good reasons to do so while in flight, but one very simple reason might be the most convincing one: I might be just around the corner flying the same route with my NGX ... and i also tend to forget to turn TCAS ON from time to time ... good luck: It's just the sim And one other thing that raised my attention: Your co-pilot's displays in picture nr.4 seem to be turned off - has some failure occured during the flight? Thanks, I turned the F/O displays of for performance reasons. I only have an old Core 2 Quad, and by having the displays off I can get a fairly smooth 25-30FPS.
