Sante Sottile
Idaho just got a hell of a lot bigger! Once upon a time Idaho was littered with 1500 Fire Lookouts and with the introduction of aircraft capable of taking on the fire search, these Lookouts have been reduced to 1/10 of what they once were. There are still many active during the hotter months and keen outdoor types man them day in and day out. Others can be rented for a short time for those just wanting to take in the serenity of the Idaho Backcountry. Indie developer Milo Taylor has provided an environment accessible to many fields of recreation, may it be Heli-ops, STOL flying challenges, and also some 4x4 action. There's a lot to do here! Take note though, with high altitude and unfavorable winds these just may be the toughest tests Milo has brought to you to date At a glance: 11 highly detailed Fire Lookout locations that come with their own Heli landing zone and STOL area for those who want to test their skill Extensive road works between multiple locations for those budding off-roaders. Try the famous Trinity Peak Hill Climb and Scotts Mountain to Deadwood Lookout! Both vegetation and terrain have been transformed to the tenth Degree for maximum immersion Seasonal assets like icicles and snow piles appear in those colder months Designed By Milo Taylor

Have no fear @wain71 there are areas to land a small aircraft at each of the 11 locations. They are tight, but the challenge is satisfying.

With a rough and windy day and all those downdrafts off those ridges, you just might go to heaven! I've had some doosies on approach into some of those STOL landing zones/strips.
