Riley10
How often do you buy a new printer? It's been probably 15 years since I bought my last printer. I have a Canon MX340 and it's been reliable with very few glitches. I think moving to a new house was the biggest issue and then trying to set up wifi instead of having it connected directly to my computer by cable. The ink is costly but it only takes color and black and white and for me it lasts almost a year.

Stillwater
Ink was always dry when we needed the printer. So we changed to a cheap & wireless laser printer this summer. Experience & cost to be monitored...

I still have my Laserjet 4 from 1994. Reliable and easy to find toner and would be easy to find replacement parts for. I can't imagine any product from the current HP lasting 10 years, but they made quality in the 20th Century.
Scott Harmes
The last printer I bought was a Canon PixmaMG6150, in about 2007, but have not needed a printer for years, as I just use PDFs on a tablet or my phone or PC now.
