shermank Posted June 9, 2021 Author Share Posted June 9, 2021 btw, interestingly enough, a fellow pilot at DCA, who is South African, posted on our web page an anecdote about a SAAF transport plane that was on its way to an air show in The UK and lost two engines...went down...and could not be recovered because of hostilities in the area...my friend has not yet told me whether the crew was rescued, but from his general description of conditions, I doubt it.
