Ken Terry
I also went to my Scenery Library and restarted it, that often lowers floating houses to the ground, but, it did not fix the Malmo floaters. Ken
Marcus Nyberg
Hey Ken, The only way this could happen, as I can think of, is if the Objectflow file for the windows has been corrupted at installation for some reason. Can you please upload the ORBX_ESMS_TerminalWindow_P3D_Objectflow.xml that you find in the esms/scenery-folder so I can have a look?
Ken Terry
Marcus, I can't find the esms/scenery-folder. It is not in P3D > Orbx Can you please accurately send the path for me to locate it. Thanks Ken
Ken Terry
Marcus, I assume it should be here under EU but I can;t see it Mystery? Ken
Nick Cooper
Hello Ken, one thing is for sure, you could not be seeing Marcus' airport if you had not installed it somewhere. Perhaps you installed it into an Orbx Central Library. If so, you should look at the Libraries page in Orbx Central to see where your Library is. You would find a folder in there named ESMS Malmo Airport. Inside that, you would find several folders, the one you would want is ESMS Malmo Airport\Orbx\FTX_GLOBAL\FTX_AA_ESMS\scenery. Nick Cooper
Hello Ken, now you need to open the FTX_AA_ESMS\scenery folder, take a copy of the ORBX_ESMS_TerminalWindow_P3D_Objectflow.xml file and attach it to your next post, as Marcus asked you to. Thanks.
Ken Terry
Ok here it is. Thanks Nick Marcus let me know if it needs a new one. Regards Ken ORBX_ESMS_TerminalWindow_P3D_Objectflow.xml
Marcus Nyberg
The .xml file looks fine, The scenery and the windows are using the same reference point for height and the only thing the objectflow-file does it to have different textures for the windows at night time. If the height would have been an issue at the reference point then all other objects should also be above ground. I cant see any reason why this is happening. Can you please install the scenery once more but put it in a library outside P3D instead as you have done with ESGG for instance? Might be something about P3D overriding the reference height or something.
Ken Terry
Marcus, no luck, I uninstalled and re-installed in the Library outside of P3D Started the sim and the floaters are back - no change. I guess I will have to live with some corrupted scenery. Thanks for trying to solve this mystery. Regards Ken
Marcus Nyberg
Check the last comment on this thread. This guy got the same issue and solved ot by reinstalling objectflow
Ken Terry
Marcus I read the other post above and I see he had the same floating scenery. Now, how do I reinstall objectflow Step by step procedure please. Thanks Ken
Nick Cooper
Hello Ken. 1. create a folder on your C drive. Name it Orbx Central Library. 2. follow the guide to be found in the Orbx Central User Guide, using your new Orbx Central Library as the target. This is the salient part. Quote Creating a library you can do this by going to Settings > Libraries and clicking “create a new library”. This will prompt you to choose a name and an install location for this library. 3. Select "My Products" and scroll down to the bottom of the list. 4. Select objectflow and click on uninstall. 5. Then click on Install and choose your new Orbx Central Library. Ken Terry
Nick, Marcus, I followed Nick's instructions. Un-installed Object Flow then installed Object Flow into the new Orbx Central Library folder. Started the sim and the floaters are still there. Looking at the screenshots it maybe that they are unrelated to Malmo - could be floaters for another source. Comments welcome. Regards and thanks Ken
Ken Terry
Here is today's screenshot, are they windows from Malmo airport?
Ken Terry
Thanks for all suggestions, I guess since another person had the same floaters at Malmo it is a fault that is difficult to fix. Please advise if there is anything further to try. Regards Ken
Nick Cooper
Hello Ken, that customer's problem is resolved, it seems he had another addon. This means that there is now only one customer with this problem. Can you check and double check that you do not have anything else installed for the same place please? Ideally, disable all your scenery except ESMS and see how it looks. Thanks
Ken Terry
Nick, I don't have any other ESMS addon or freeware for Norway or Sweden I did PM "ceklund" and he replied today as follows... I had missed to update my P3D 4.5 to the latest build. That solved my problem, at least for now Good luck. So how do I tell if I have the latest version of 4.5? Thanks Ken Read full message
Nick Cooper
Hello Ken, you open P3D and when it is running, click on the Help tab at the top and then the About tab. The latest version is 4.5.14.34698. This products also works in version 4.5.13.32097 Earlier than that and you will need to update.
Ken Terry
Hi Nick, thanks for the procedure, I find my P3D4 version is outdated - it is 4.5.12.30293 I will update tomorrow and assume my floaters at Malmo will go away. I assume I can just update the "Client"? Cheers Ken
Nick Cooper
Hello Ken, I think so but as there have been many changes, I would advise you to update all of it. Do not, at any point, delete the P3D root folder. I made a guide, some time ago. It's for P3D v5 but the procedure is identical for P3D v4. Wherever you see the number 5, read 4. Ken Terry
Nick, success, matter solved, no more floaters after I installed the latest Client I now have P3D 4.5.14.34698 all working fine Thanks for your help. Regards Ken
