Thanks... The issue is the airport is likely flattened altering the mesh around it. The buildings are made to fit exactly to a specific mesh (The TE one without flattening), so the effect of flattening an airport alters the mesh and causes the floating building.

So if I find that the default airport has the "flattening" attribute enabled, if i remove that then the houses would not be floating?

@Jon Clarke Hi, I have been investigating and seems floating houses at KSMO are due to a conflict with MisterX KLAX HD airport.

See here, patch suggestion from MisterX :

Thank you @Jon Clarke and guys here for investigating.

Cheers,

The floating houses also appear without the payware MisterX KLAX unfortunately.

However, thanks to our colleague @Sentry11 there is a fix he has made. I will make it available in the Pinned Topics Useful Tip section at the top of this XP Support forum.

Again many thanks to Sentry11 who has provided several fixes now.

Here is your copy:

@Sentry11 I had removed MisterX KLAX but have the transparent road option checked in the Orbx config though. I will check with the option checked out. Thank you for your kind support.

@Sentry11 @Jon Clarke re the MOD, so I did uncheck the road transparency option within the Orbx soft and white textures did disappear though there are still some artefacts, see attached screen caps (will do until next full update I guess ;-)). Again thank you very much for your kind support. Cheers, C
