Many years ago I worked for Fortron and had a few trips to WA basically Perth, but had a couple of trips by air by the boss into the outback, just sight seeing. The "real" outback I experienced when I spent some time in Alice, waaaayy back, I was twenty, training to do the runs to the outback stations, only got to do a few with another pilot before the company went broke.
