The concept of viewpoints

You can see this in American Truck Simulator's latest issue of Idaho

You can park your truck switch off the engine and you will be taken around the local area to see all the sights you would not see from the road as you drive through.

I was wondering if this concept could be taken up by Orbx so we could see the local attractions near an airport,.

Anyway just an idea.   BTW they have done a superb job of modelling the scenery and buildings.

Really interesting Ken, great detail, and I agree, it would be good  to have something similar by Orbx for our sims. To me it is sort of an expansion  of BOB.

This is something you can do in Xplane. And is this not also possible in P3d via avatar mode?

Wolfko yes you can use the Avatar but the American Truck Sim goes in the air like the view you would get from a drone and it concentrates on the POIs which might not be obvious to the Avatar.

I see your point. In XPlane there is a, what they call, free camera, which can be used like a drone.

In P3d slew mode would be a go around, of course not a perfect one though.
