ryanbatc
There is a nifty way to transition the Los Angeles class Bravo airspace without speaking to ATC. It's called the Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA). It's a small VFR corridor which overflies LAX Int'l. NW VFR aircraft must squawk 1201, be no faster than 140 kias and fly at 4500 ft msl. SE bound must be at 3500 ft. Today I'm flying from John Wayne SNA to Agua Dulce L70 - and I only speak to John Wayne tower during the entirety of my flight. I've published my route at the bottom of this post. After reaching just NW of Santa Monica, I turn N exiting the lateral confines of the Bravo, avoid the Burbank class Charlie, and turn NNE towards L70 while climbing to 7500 ft. Addons used: Aerobask Lancair Legacy beta, MisterX KLAX, GFB500 SNA/L70, Orbx TE SoCal, Reality-XP GTN 750 Enjoy!
