Our second leg of the Los Angeles to Las Vegas tour, sees us depart Catalina and track the coast to San Diego and land at Brownfield Municipal Airport. After a buffalo burger and a stroll around Avalon, we taxi out to runway 22.

Picking up the coast and heading south. We can see John Wayne in the distance and Newport Bay harbor off our left wing.

Passing the San Onofre nuclear power plant (now decommissioned) and making sure we stay clear of the restricted airspace close to Camp Pendleton, one of the largest Marine Corps bases in the US.

Setting up on finals to runway 26R with a lot less wind to contend with compared to Catalina.

Shutdown and the leg complete. Our next leg will see us begin to track east over the picturesque mountains to the east of San Diego before landing at an airport below sea level. Hope you enjoyed the images. Thanks for the comments on leg 1.
