NineMile41
Well we are in the hot weather again still heading north. Crossed the Ande's again the west side of Chile at this latitude a lot of dessert. Our stopping point is La Chimba a long town along the ocean. The history of this area goes back a long ways. In 1601, the San Juan de Sahagún convent of the Chilean Province of the San Agustín Order was founded. In 1647, the Franciscan Recoleta was founded. In 1747, the Recoleta Dominica was installed. In 1770, the Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites of San Rafael was built.
