Simon Harkness Posted February 3, 2019 Share Posted February 3, 2019 So, When i do a regular flight from Belfast to anywhere in the south Of England, when i reach over the Irish Sea into around Manchester to Birmingham area my scenery loads perfectly fine, No issues with central region, but when starting to enter the south my scenery doesn't load at all while inflight and instead is a blue blurry texture. If I start a flight in the South of England it loads no problem, the issue only comes when im inflight heading to that area! Help?! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No Nick, it's the actual scenery itself. It displays as if the tile isnt loaded. It's the same look as loading in at an airport in asia without having asia installed. You can do that by adding the SCENERY_PACK_DISABLED line against the scenery, or do what i do and create another folder in your XP directory, name it Custom Scenery(disabled) and drop all the non wanted sceneries into it. At this point I would also copy your current scenery.ini and put that in the new folder. This will allow you to reinsert it when we go back to putting all the disabled sceneries back into Custom Scenery. I don't necessarily see anything wrong with the layering in your ini except that you have a lot additional scenery specific files. By that I mean not only an airport but special mesh for that airport and like 5 files relating to Dublin. Wow!! I am assuming you have run the Verify Files programme from FTX Central for TEGB South and Central? Disable all the non Orbx, and just have the following in your Custom Scenery and have it layered in the ini: Global Airports London Landmarks SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_A_GB_South_TrueEarth_Custom/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_B_GB_South_TrueEarth_Overlay/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_C_GB_South_TrueEarth_Orthos/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_A_GB_Central_TrueEarth_Custom/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_B_GB_Central_TrueEarth_Overlay/SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_C_GB_Central_TrueEarth_Orthos/ SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_OrbxlibsXP/ DIsable ALL the plugins using the Plugin manager when you open the flight. I think there is a conflict of scenery somewhere hence the need to start off drastically regarding culling the rest of your sceneries. Fizzelle Posted February 7, 2019 Share Posted February 7, 2019 Actually I think this is the computer struggling to load in the scenery in real time Simon. One thing to do is to pause the sim as soon as you see these anomalies. This will let the terrain engine "catch up" and display correctly. You didn't say what your specs are but it looks like the CPU and/or the graphics card are struggling a bit. I'd be interested in what your FPS is just prior to this happening. Other things to look at are: 1. Limit your visibility in the settings menu 2. Increase your terrain resolution at a distance - I see you're using the LOD script. You can fiddle with all the different settings and see if that fixes it. 3. If your frame rates are dipping below 19 FPS that'll also cause problems with the sim rendering terrain Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tony Wroblewski Posted February 8, 2019 Share Posted February 8, 2019 This looks like the tile hasn't loaded yet. I've only ever seen this happen when grabbing the plane and moving it too far on the map and the tile is still loading. It will subsequently pop into view like the infamous FSX/P3D blurry problem. One thing I highly suggest you do is get rid of GB-Pro. This covers exactly the same area, but my guess is that it is really affecting your loading times and memory by having both enabled. Even though TE is higher in priority, X-Plane is loading both and trying to work out which one to show, and this eats up CPU time and increases loading times. The problem simply looks like your computer can't keep up with loading the scenery as you fly into a new area. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For example you have GBpro above Global Airports plus a whole load of stuff that should be below Global Airports. For XP to work seamlessly you need to optimise your .ini layering and you will see the benefits immediately. 1.Addon airports 2. Global Airports 3. Things like GP pro i.e. sceneries and city scapes, forests, w2xp etc 4. Libraries (although they can go anywhere, why not have them all together and below 1,2 and 3?) 5. Orthophoto 6. Mesh.
