macca22au
Rockhampton YROK on the Fitzroy River in Central Queensland has millions of hectares of cattle grazing land inland from here. Although coal and other minerals now provide more economic muscle, the export of cattle and associated products still dominates the city - struggling as much of Queensland is with drought. Cattle yards, auctioneers, dust and sound crowd the senses. A broad brimmed hat is needed, but you'd better stomp on it first, otherwise you will be taken as a greenhorn. You just have to remember to look to make sure that your head is not in your hat before it gets stomped on!
VH-KDK
Wonderful image of Rockie Ian, hard times with this latest drought though. Many loaded hay trucks going past my door every day.
