caleb1
I have FTX Global, Vector, and OpenLC North America. The roads have cars on them, but I can not see the concrete/road material on the roads. Any ideas as to how I can fix this? This is in P3D v4.1 Thanks in advance. Nick Cooper
Hello, make sure that all the roads are selected in the Vector control panel.
caleb1
Thanks for the reply Nick. Yes they are all selected but I still do not see the materials. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Smudger
Hello Caleb, Have you ticked Use high resolution terrain textures in Options - World ?
caleb1
Thanks @Smudger It was not ticked, but ticking it did not fix the problem. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, is it only roads or also shoreline textures, railroads, and other vectors? If the latter perhaps the required custom entries for Vector in terrain.cfg have gone AWOL. If you open the active terrain.cfg, located in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4, in Wordpad or Notepad, you should be able to find a large block of entries named "// ORBX FTXG_V custom vectors {...}". Perhaps check for those entries. The other issue might be that the custom Vector road textures themselves got removed from \Scenery\World\texture, a bunch of .bmp files named "FTXG_V_ {...}" For either issue I'd recommend re-installing Vector though the one with terrain.cfg should be fixed by simply starting FTX Central once and waiting a few seconds. Cheers, Holger
caleb1
Thanks, I think I will reinstall Vector. Those texture files are not in Scenery\World\texture. Thanks very much.
