Striker
While taxying at YSSY I noticed that the FTX AI traffic United Airlines B744 is missing all of it's undercarriage/wheels. For your info - Prepar3Dv4.
Graham Eccleston
There are no United B744 aircraft in the most recent FTX AU AI Traffic packs. It has been some time since the last one flew in Australian skies. Perhaps you have another AI traffic pack installed which is not using P3D V4 compliant aircraft. Hi, sorry to jump into this thread, but I feel the issue is related, I have the same issue with YPJT with the freeware AU traffic installed. Also noticed one of these models at KPSP, sometimes they cause issues sometimes not. The Janadakot issue seems to cause a few other issues like flickering clouds. Here is a screenshot of the problem models.
Nick Cooper
Hello, can you supply coordinates and the date and time of day that you see these two models please? Do you also have any other AI software installed?
RancidViper
Hi Nick, I just went in and got a set of fresh screenshots. Flight date 04 Feb 2018 at 11.42 am. What I just found however was a right royal mess! FYI I do also use MT6, but I have removed all known incompatible models as per the instructions on the Avsim forum. I have also disabled the MT6 .bgl file for YPJT. I decided to spawn at YPJT and just use the view options to switch to the AI aircraft to find the problem models. But I only got as far as a Piper Archer II or something before P3D froze and eventually crashed on me with no error in AppCrashView. But I managed to find a few of the types with issues (Don't mind some of the scenery glitches you might see I was switching between aircraft near and far so the scenery was reloading) - Beechcraft Baron 58 I believe Beechcraft King Air B200 Royal Flying Doctor (One of the planes had one engine working) Piper Warrior II (Had no model at all just flashing lights around where a plane should be!) Piper Arrow IV Piper Arrow III Turbo Piper Archer III Here is one of these pipers can't remember which one EDIT : FYI My traffic sliders are set at 35% for Airlines and 25% for GA. Nick Cooper
Thanks. I am seeing different aircraft and no problems. I am left wondering if you have installed an older version of the AI Traffic Australia and New Zealand pack or someone else's AI aircraft. Your AI aircraft are displaying all the symptoms that one would expect to see in FS9 models (not working) in P3D v4. That would also explain the P3D crash. I think you will need to uninstall what you have and replace it with the P3D v4 specific version that Graham and his team have worked so hard to produce. Here are a couple of your shots replicated. Here's one you didn't take.

I actually had no idea that I had been using the older version all this time. Having just logged into Orbx Direct I can confirm that the older one is in my account and the newer one is not. However no AI traffic pack is showing as installed in FTX Central. I just want to know what the best way is to remove the current AI pack. Is there any easy way to do so? Cheers
Nick Cooper
I think you can simply uninstall it with FTX Central. Just check that all the FTX AU ******** aircraft folders have gone from your airplanes folder before you install the P3D v4 version. I have assumed from the start that you are using P3D v4? Sorry Nick I just edited my previous post, I don't see any AI traffic pack installed in FTX central. Would it work just to remove the folders? And yes I am using V4. Nick Cooper
Yes, I think that you can do that. If you select only the ones with names that start FTX_AU you should catch them all and nothing else. There do seem to be some Traffic_FTX files in scenery\world\scenery but I don't know enough to advise you which ones are part of the AI pack and which come with regions or airports. Hopefully, you won't have them at all if you have just copied in the aircraft and your AI is coming from the airport traffic files.

I can confirm there are 10 of those files in scenery/world/scenery. Traffic_FTX Aust-NZ Airlines.bgl Traffic_FTX GA Traffic.bgl Traffic_FTX International Airlines.bgl Traffic_FTX_LIDA_P3D.bgl Traffic_FTX NA Large Business Jets_Abbrev Call Signs.bgl Traffic_FTX NA Large Business Jets_Full Call Signs.bgl.OFF Traffic_FTX NA GA Traffic_Abbrev Call Signs.bgl Traffic_FTX NA GA Traffic_Full Call Signs.bgl.OFF Traffic_FTX NA GA Traffic Off File.bgl.OFF Traffic_FTX NA Large Business Jets Off File.bgl.OFF As you can see some of them are disabled. But I definitely did not copy these in there manually, or change them. Same goes for the aircraft folder. I just can't remember how I installed it. I will start by deleting the FTX planes in the Airplanes folder, but maybe I should wait till someone can shed more light on these other 10 files and if they should be deleted too before installing the new version? Nick Cooper
If I were you, I would create a new folder named OFF in your scenery\world\scenery and move all of those into it, except the Traffic_FTX_LIDA_P3D.bgl, which must be just for that airport. Then install the P3D v4 AI pack and see what it has written back in. Compare what you have in your OFF folder and if they have all been replaced, you can delete them. Be careful with the .OFF suffixes, it is the file names that matter, the .OFF just means that they have been deselected in the control panel. RancidViper
Wow everything is back to normal now! No more flickering clouds and VoxAtc is not giving me fatal errors anymore! Happy camper! Thank you so much Nick! And sorry for the user error! EDIT : It also only added the Traffic_FTX Aust-NZ Airlines.bgl, Traffic_FTX GA Traffic.bgl and Traffic_FTX International Airlines.bgl back in. Nick Cooper
Good news. I would leave the rest of the files out. As those are included, the others will not be needed. The NA AI pack is not compatible either. I just thought I would mention that.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, FYI, uninstallation instructions for the FSX version are included in the user guide, FTX AU AI TRAFFIC User Guide.pdf, on p.3. Cheers, Holger
