Jon Clarke
As there is no control panel in FTX AU please tell me what night lighting appears and where is the file that contains the night lights? Is it defaulted to the new Night Lights technique that appears in many of the newer Regions Control Panel options?
Nick Cooper
Hello, Here is the release announcement for the latest version. Just for you, I have run the 4.1 installer. It adds 394 files into 8 folders.
Jon Clarke
Thanks Iain for your help. Which 8 folders does it affect do you recall?
Nick Cooper
Hello, I can be Iain if you wish. Sorry, I have deleted them again. You can do as I did to find all the files. Download the AU 4.1 update from the DVD updates page, set up a dummy version of FSX and install it into that. You will finish up with an FSX folder with just the update files. Then you will need to isolate the light files out of the 394 that you will have.
Jon Clarke
I do apologise Nick !!!! Don't know what caused me to call you Iain. I will do what you suggest. Many thanks again.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, if you're referring to the long-distance lights along urban roads and their associated photoreal light splashes, those all reside in \ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAU05_ROADS\scenery. You can either deactivate the AU roads entry when flying at night or else sort that folder by date and deactivate files dated Dec 2016 and Jan 2017. Cheers, Holger
