Alaska 9Z3

Hi Dave,

9Z3 also listed as KDK - Lilly Lake in Global freeware,  as opposed to the near by PADQ/KDK - Kodiak Municipal Airport.  KDK/9Z3 Lilly Lake is a FTXGlobal freeware airfield, It was supposed to work best with Vector & OLC NA/CAN/AK, but some users were experiencing a few issues around the field where a large square Landmass (LC) had filled the bay including the nearby islands it was determined that best results come from using Base, Vector, OLC & a good mesh product.
The temporary work around (fix) was to disable  ADE_FTX_FTXG_KDK_CVX.bgl.off  in your  \ORBX\FTX_GLOBAL\FTX_FTXG_AIRPORTS\Scenery  folder.
Some users were seeing issues around PADQ/KDK KDK/9Z3 Lilly Lake  with Vector 1.40 (Is your FTX Vector up-to date
Not sure wether there was a permanent fix applied through FTXGlobal Freeware, but switching off the CVX file moves the lake (leaving some jetties and float planes high and dry) but retains the airstrip and buildings, the road will be out of the lake, nearby mesh issues look better but some LC & Autogen houses & buildings for the near-by township of Kodiak will not be there. I imagine it reconnects the bridge to the island (with Vector) and removes the square of LC from around the islands in the bay.

Dave:

There were some problems with the blocking of landclass. These were fixed. The airports were designed with Vector installed so the road exclusions will not work properly without vector installed. It also works fine with OLC NA as shown in Nick's photo. Vector is on sale right now so it may be a good time to get it as it fixes the shorelines lakes and roads all over the planet and we use it when designing freeware airports.
