Jack Sawyer
Decided to test the Dash 8 out so I flew it from L70, Agua Dulce to KPSP, Palm Springs in the dusk, was very nice.
paulb
Great shots and a great flight Jack! But I still am amazed at the long fuselage and small wings!

Thanks Paul, I agree, it looks so counter-intuitive to flight doesn't it? But I guess if they can get a B-52 in the air just about anything can fly! A bit like the U-2 where it always needed support under a wing to stop it losing balance.

Very fascinating, they say the BUFF will be in service for 100 years, longer than any plane in history, amazing. I remember when I was a kid seeing Gary Powers, that was a hot mess! VH-KDK
Highly enjoyable set of images Jack. Very well flown too, not the easiest plane to land so I hear. I can remember seeing on the news back in the 60s, the first flight of the DC-8-61 and I I could not believe how long and thin that plane was. I always liked seeing them at LHR and LGW. Thanks Martyn and I'm fixin' to get yer to 5000 likes! Actually it's a very difficult plane to land, it stalls way too easily. 2 hours ago, BradB said: Wonderful set of shots Jack .
