Ed Correia
Discovered this fence in the Wiluna, WA area. Textures for the dingo(?) fence appear to be missing. Cheers Ed
Tim Harris
Hi Ed, this is at Wiluna Airport?, I'll take a look Cheers Tim
Ed Correia
Hi Tim yes it is, busy working on it for OZx. Cheers Ed
Holger Sandmann
Hi Ed, check whether you have ORBX_RuralFences.dds in \ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS\Texture. If that's the case then it could also be a case of duplicate textures so do a Windows search for the file name and let us know if you find any duplicates. Ed Correia
Hi Holger, I have that file appear twice. Located in the \ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS\Texture and \ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_YCNK\Texture folders. Both files are identical. Cheers, Ed
Patrick Scharnowski
I also found a black fence, as reported in this thread I have that file appear twice. Located in the \ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS\Texture and \ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_YCNK\Texture folders. Same here, in the same folders.
Holger Sandmann
Hello Patrick, if you have a file named Orbx_Rural_Objects.bgl in \ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_YCNK\Scenery please rename it to Orbx_Rural_Objects.bgl.OFF and check the fences again. Sometimes a duplicate object library can lead FSX to not display textures properly. Cheers, Holger
Patrick Scharnowski
I tried that but the problem persists.
Holger Sandmann
Hello Patrick, hmm, can you do a Windows search for Orbx_Rural_Objects.bgl, please? Maybe there are more copies active. Cheers, Holger
Patrick Scharnowski
There is only one copy of the bgl. It's in the "FSX\ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS\Scenery" folder
Holger Sandmann
Hello Patrick, thanks for checking. It appears that this is a more general issue with the rural fences model and texture. I'll have the guy who made it take a look at it. Cheers, Holger
Patrick Scharnowski
Okay, thanks. It's not a big issue (I saw this the first time now after MONTHS of flying in FTX Oz) but it would be nice if could be fixed.
Heinrich
I have the same issue, though it appeared once I installed Tongass X Cheers
