zazaboeing
Hi guys! Out of curiosity, which runway(s) of ORBX (airport dedicated scenery) do you recall to be the shortest? And the highest elevation is Telluride right? Thanks!
Pete Wilcox
Try MT94 Ousel Falls Montana. Only 900 feet of grass. I can land there with several aircraft but can only get back off the ground with a Piper Cub.
spud
Telluride is, in fact, the highest airport with commercial airline service in the lower 48 states.
birdguy
I can get off MT94 in the Kodiak with 2 notches of flap. The highest airport in the United States is Lake County Airport in Leadville CO. Elevation 9,927 feet. It's included in the global freeware airport package. Noel
Rodger Pettichord
Short runways don't have to be formally identified and developed as runways. If you keep an eye out, you will find all sorts of clearings or flat spots into which you can drop an STOL bush plane. It's lots of fun to make your way in and out of such places, and there are many, many of them. Look for ridgeline clearings, for example.
