  1. What a great looking aircraft, unfortunately these days my brain doesn't work fast enough to even read the manual let alone fly this thing Don
  2. Hello Jack, good to see you again. πŸ˜€ Don
  3. Great shots John. YSPT is a great little airport for sightseeing the Goldcoast. Don
  4. For me, I'll be sticking with what I have, 2020, at my age I have no intention of spending more money on another sim, saving up for a massive funeral bash πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Don
  5. Thanks Wayne, nothing special, just wanted to get in the air, and the original thought was to show some shots of Lizard Island, but then realised it wasn't a Orbx scenery πŸ˜ŸπŸ™„πŸ™‚
  6. Managed to get a flight in today, off the north coast of Australia heading for Lizard Island north of Cairns. Unfortunately can't show the island as it's not Orbx scenery, it's a beautiful place . In this last shot, you can just see some of the coral reefs below Don
  7. Yep looks like the place to be mate. I would have no problem chillin out there. πŸ˜€
  8. Thanks mate, and the "and nearly dead", certainly applies to me right now. πŸ˜ŸπŸ˜„ My recovery rate from the puppy care is very slow. A one way ticket would suit me fine. Don
  9. Thanks Gerold, maybe a bit hit and miss for a while. The 2am puppy feeds have taken their toll on my health. Don
  10. Hi guys, yep puppies are gone, now to get into some serious flying - hopefully. Just a few of the recently released Norfolk Island way of the coast of Oz.
  11. Really nice, like that a lot Iain. Don
  12. Excellent shot Iain, great time of night to fly. πŸ™‚ Don
  13. We have a friend who is blind and has a Lab. She has a new one, her previous dog (who is the splitting image of our Max) has been retired, he has done his job for her and is now having a well earned rest. Hey I forgot to tell you guys that Maggie had to have a "C' section to deliver her puppies. She was in labour for twelve hours, vet said too long bring her in now. Interesting thing is that when they have a "C" section they don't know what/who the puppies are, my wife and I spent a few hours gently rubbing them on her so they had her smell, even then it took her a bit to work out they were hers. From that point on, she became the best Mum.πŸ™‚β€οΈ Companion dogs? No way, I don't have it in me to do that. They are special, LIz takes hers everywhere, even on planes. She lives in Tasmania and she fly's over to see us. Marty just curls up at her feet and goes to sleep. Love dogs ❀️
  14. She is about as good as can be expected. I really feel for her, she keeps running into the puppy room looking for them, sniffs around picking up their scent. I think it will take about another week before she settles and realise they are gone. Meantime my wife and I are giving her lots of attention, cuddles and treats. I know we won't, but I wouldn't do this to her again, breaks my heart watching her looking for her puppies. 😟 I would never make a breeder, I'm too soft. I have just dismantled the birthing box and put it in the garage, I think this will help her as their scent will be gone. Thanks for your interest. Don
  15. Our pleasure Rodger, sharing our journey with you has been a lot of fun and nice to have the company of you all along the way. I feel a bit sad that our old friends that are no longer here I couldn't share this with. One of the things I learned from this, I'm 85, and you are never too old to experience the miracle of life. πŸ™‚
  16. Thanks Graeme. Yes they will bring a lot of joy and happiness to their new Mum and Dad for many years to come.
  17. Thanks Iain, it's been fun to share our experience with you guys and I think a couple of gals. Although we wouldn't do it again, we wouldn't have wanted to not do this, it a real experience in life. To see those little wet things when they were born and watch them develop into those gorgeous fluffy bundles of joy, is something I'll remember for the rest of my life. We have a lot of photo's that I'll revisit over and over. My wife asked me if I wanted mate our standard poodle with Max our lab, not sure what they call them, Ladoodles or something, and I asked her how a divorce sounded 😧and then reminded her about the two hour feeds she would have to do - she had a quick change of heart. But having said all this, I loved everyone of them, and feel a little privileged that I got to have this experience. Don
  18. Thanks Nick, good to know, mine was also zero. Don
  19. All over guys. Last weekend the puppies left us and went to their forever homes. We were very lucky to have very nice caring people to adopt them. πŸ™‚ Yes it was a sad day to see them go, I'm a tough old bugger, but had to swallow hard every time one went the door. When you are caring for them and feeding them four or five times a day, ❀️you can't help but get an attachment to them, and of course lab puppies are so cute that doesn't help. But they are now gone, and we can put the tissues away πŸ˜‚. Don
