Hello,
the solution, according to Rex, is not complex.
You should delete Documents\REX 7\REX AccuSeason Advanced Edition\profile.json.
The next time you open REX AccuSeason Advanced Edition, you will be made to register again.
Thereafter, it will work.
I have no idea why, but I had to do it too and it is now working again. -

Hello,
judging by your first post, your C drive is not the only one.
I guess that I may be a fairly typical flight simulator user and yet my C drive looks like this:As mentioned above, unless there are numerous programs in use that have nothing to do with flight simulation,
all storing huge files on the C drive, a C drive should not need to be any larger than 250 GB.
I would guess that with a little more housekeeping, you could well find that you don't need a larger one.As an aside, the rest of my PC has 16TB of internal storage available and another 10TB of external storage.

First, you must register at Rex Axis: REX AXIS
Use the same email address that you used at Orbx Direct.
Then, you already have all of the information that you need for this window.
The serial number is stored in the Documents\REX 6\REX AccuSeason\profile.xml file.
It can be opened and read using Notepad.
Your Order Number is your Orbx Direct transaction number.
You can find that here: Product Information - Orbx (orbxdirect.com)- 2

Hello,
the last update that I had was that there was a problem at the Marketplace with applying the
existing customer discount.
I understand that the files were sent some time ago.
I have sent a Zendesk support ticket myself today and had a reply.
It states:We have escalated your ticket to MS marketplace team and they are investigating the issue.
They will contact Orbx directly for further communication.

Hello,
if it was installed, or still is, then the serial number is in Documents\REX 6\REX AccuSeason\profile.xml.
Your order number is the Orbx transaction number.- 1

Hello,
the serial number is stored in Documents\REX 6\REX AccuSeason\profile.xml
You can open that with Notepad- 2

Hello Pete,
sorry I have no information on that subject at all.
For now, I have downloaded it from Rex and it is working. -
Hello Wayne,
the serial number is stored in Documents\REX 6\REX AccuSeason\profile.xml.
You can open and read profile.xml with Notepad. If you choose to install the Rex product from Rex, it will indeed usually ask for a serial number,
whereas Orbx Central knows where to look and does not ask.

Hello,
I have been given to understand that this is a known problem.

Hello,
I see that you have also sent in a support ticket, I have replied to that. -
Hello,
the developer already knows about this, as it has been reported in a support ticket.
Thanks for this report. -
Hello,
you should delete the C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Shaders folder.
You can delete the entire folder, but nothing else.
P3D rebuilds them when it is next run. -

The black areas are permanent and are dependant on the camera angle.
Hello,
please try deleting your P3D shaders and if you have used any software to modify them,
turn that off.
The installation of Australia v2 is not likely to be the cause of this problem, which could well be local. -
Hello,
Orbx only retail this product, but you can contact its developer here: Contact Flight FX -
Hello,
thanks. If I try hard enough, I can indeed replicate some of the airport textures turning black.
I think that John is probably right, in as much as P3D v5 has a habit of unloading textures that it is not looking at
and then when they suddenly come back into view, it takes a few moments to load them back in.
It certainly is not either missing textures, or anything else showing through, it is just textures being unloaded and then reloaded. This is the setting that John referred to, it's in the [GRAPHICS] section of your Prepar3D.cfg file.
QuoteMAX_TEXTURE_REQUEST_DISTANCE = 1000
This setting can be used to change the distance that is used to request textures of aircrafts and library objects that are not visible. This prevents the objects from rendering with a black texture when looking at it after it has been out of view for a certain amount of time. The larger the distance the more graphics memory that is required.
There are numerous other official tweaks here:
Advanced Configuration (prepar3d.com)
None of them will take effect until P3D is restarted.I find also that the effect can be mitigated somewhat by limiting the frame rate to say 30, then P3D spends less time
chasing frames and more time loading textures.
I don't think that it can be eliminated altogether. -

Hi everyone.
Hello,
which sub-version of P3D version 5 are you using please? -
Hello,
the question in the first post is answered.
Thanks to all who chose to contribute. -

Find it confusing that access was not granted for imagery for P3D then in the next paragraph you speak of Canberra being released for 2020 - come on mate, you can’t have it both ways.
The version of Canberra Airport for MSFS that is available on Orbx Direct is by Impulse Simulations,
so any issue of access to the real world airport by an Orbx developer is not really relevant.9 hours ago, catman63 said:l believe P3D is a much more stable platform, particularly when it comes to airliners - my preferred ‘operation’. The scenery is irrelevant at 35000’.
In that case, the ground scenery, the strongest point of Microsoft Flight Simulator, is clearly not for you.

I have no knowledge of Orbx's financial policies or Matteo's motivation and I do not choose to make uninformed guesses.
However, I could understand that, if faced with the same costs of production and time available, the choice was to provide a free update to an existing product
or to create a new product for sale, any company, or independent developer, would make the same decision.Back to the subject of the topic, I do not know of any plans to update Matteo's Gold Coast Airport for P3D but it has already been announced that
the same developer is at work on a version for MSFS.

Hello,
I have asked for this to be investigated.
It will probably be Monday now, as it is 1815 hrs in Melbourne, on Friday evening.
I note that you may still be able to use the new product over the weekend, there does not seemto be the same error message if you ask Orbx Central to install into MSFS instead of into an Orbx Central Library.
