  1. Couldn't see the location anywhere in these posts so googled: This is situated in Turkiye at the Catalca Dual Tunnels. Two fictitional airfields have been created in the Flightsim.to addons. Just searcj Catalca and select one of the addons and read the instructions for the relevant ICAO.
  2. So if it costs me say US$20 to produce and market a product and I sell it with a 25% profit margin and I sell it in USA for US$25 I should sell it in a poor country for less than it cost to market and produce? Example sounds exaggerated I know but that is what some are saying/requesting. All I have tried to say is that a producer cannot be expected to sell a product at even a break even price, that just does not make commercial sense.
  3. Prices cannot be based upon where potential customers live, prices have to be based upon where the people who produce the products live. In general comparing currencies and salaries is not a good measure rather it is more useful to consider what you can buy for say US$1 in the USA and what you can buy for US$1 equivelant in a poorer country. Having said that it is understandable that poorer countries just cannot afford some products that are produced elsewhere but that is a hard fact of economics.
  4. Next time just set Alt-T in your car's ECU
  5. I agree. I have always found the best way to improve frame rates is to turn off the counter
  6. Not a fan of this variation but all music and art appreciation is subjective really
  7. Some of "Australia's" best talent comes from New Zealand
  8. Topic says it really. Not specifically for MSFS but as an example MSFS start screen states that updated SDK's available. I do not develope or modify scenery or aircraft etc so do I actually need these types of files?
  9. Multiplayer simmers use these types of channels to do all the private chat and keeping aircraft radios free for official calls and communications with ATC etc. IMHO there are certain privacy issues that I do not like about Discord but that is my personal opinion only. My flying group still use Teamspeak.
  10. Appreciate your explanation However, lets presume that one has the original freeware and then purchases the relative region. I stand to be corrected however when I have purchased regions I do not recall being instructed to re-download or adjust the freeware package accordingly so must presume that the region package automatically adjusts the airfields as neccessary? I think that the original airfields should still be made available for those who do not wish to purchase the full fat region. Of course I understand that Orbx can amend packages both payware and freeware at their discretion, it just seems a bit petty to do so. Anyway, it is what it is. Cheers. dan
  11. "The freeware airports do indeed change over time, some are added and those that are included in payware are taken away. L52 is now a part of the payware SCA product. KAVX is now a payware product". Ah Ha, so that is why there are no longer any freeware Germany fields that used to be included. i.e. EDWI and EDVR to name two. Presuming this is correct then I am not happy to be forced to buy Gerrmany but I understand the commercial logic so will suffer in silence.
  12. John I have absolutely no idea Dan (Bassman)
  13. "Room temperature for the entire Universe applies even for the British Empire and its remaining colony". Hey Lawrence, what's is it's remaining colony? And, what is an entropy? Reminds me of when God told Noah to build an Ark 20 cubits by 20 cubits (or thereabouts) and Noah replied yes Lord.....but what's a Cubit?
  14. Mr Quigley, don't hide your talents under a bushell Welcome, Dan YMA555
  15. Just to all members, I don't believe that this is a sub-section for scenery requests I believe it is meant for notice of add-ons (that do not conflict with Forum rules) that are available now at other 3rd party freeware sites.
  16. Ken your "dated" humour was/is fantastic; have not laughed so much for quite a while Just when I started to feel old at 64 you guys have made me feel like a whipper snapper again My wife believes that I am a member of the Old Farts Club because when I fart she says that it smells like it has been brewing for years.
  17. Maybe I should have mentioned my own laptop which I purchased for simming whilst in our caravan. Aspire V17 Nitro i7-4720HQ 2.6GHz with Turbo Boost to 3.6GHz. Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M 4GB dedicated VRAM. 16GB DDR3 L Memory. Running at 3.6GHz without incident. However one downside is a Throttling problem common to this model which is easily solved by using a freeware throttle stop program. Cost for a laptop of these specs (and probably better now as I have owned this one for about 9 months) is definitely within your price range.
  18. Whooo Horsey..... As JV has stated, the best "tweak" is money. Good luck Richard mate....
  19. All great at my end too mate. I understand and appreciate your point. When a person advises his new laptop on public media, and it sounds so good, one can't but help asking the question, in fact it almost begs the question, as we are all after the best system that we can afford. You may have noticed that I have cheekily asked the question directly to JV in his post. Cheers mate
  20. Hi Richard, that is exactly why I prefaced my question "If it is not a rude question". As a fellow Australian you would know that colloquially when we ask a question that might be considered nosey we preface our questions accordingly. There are numerous examples of where members have advised costs in USD, Euros, GNP etc. I apologise if for some reason you took offence. I thought that it might assist your cause.
  21. If it is not a rude question, how much was JV's latest laptop? and was it a special order with selected components or an off the shelf unit? I know this could be asked in John's post however I think it s relevant to this new post also.
